To be honest the only time Super Bowl ratings decline its at halftime. NFL ain't dumb and No artist is bigger than the league. If ya don't wanna pay for play, you aint performing. And as BIG and world renown as these stars are, they will never be more popular than the league.

But the league Does NOT CARE, to be honest they'd make more money if they just played commercials during the entire halftime show. I'm sure they wouldn't mind the 4 million they'd be getting for playing a commercial instead of an artist.
