Danny Dimes is now Indiana Jones....sorry for AR but Jones may found a new home like Mayfield.
I think it was Tyreek Hill that said something like.... in the NFL, system and opportunity are the most important thing because everybody is good.

This may be a fluke but it really looks like Jones is playing with confidence and in a system that fits him well. He's never looked this comfortable in New York

Ayo...what happened to Brian Thomas Jr?
Jags not using him like they used him last year, coen wants him to be the big body physical receiver when his strength is really his speed, getting him the ball and putting him in space is where he’s effective

*Looks at Burrow news*

Good/elite Offensive linemen are more important to a QB's -- and thus a team's -- long-term aspirations than elite skill guys are.

By no means am I saying that Mac Jones is better than Brock Purdy. However, knowing how QB-friendly the SF system is... it makes you wonder why SF pays big money to QBs if they can almost plug anyone in there and get competent play.

Atlanta looks good.

Way too early to be saying this. It's one game. The next games are against Arizona, Jacksonville and the Falcons. The Rams and Cardinals have better defenses than the Saints do. Let's see if that bears out because we've had QBs come in and win games in the short term then flounder.

Colts had the infrastructure of a good team - solid OL, quality skill position guys, decent defense. Danny Dimes ain't great but you put all that together you have a competent team. Really speaks more to AR15 being a complete bust

Eagles
Baltimore
Packers
Bills
?

Yep. That said, the Lions after this yesterday have potential to climb over the Eagles to me. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks because either the Eagles offense, or Jalen Hurts, looks off. They shouldn't have this much trouble passing with the skill players they have, BUT there is a very short list of elite teams this year.

We don't have the normal parity we're used to. It felt like the Bills, Ravens, and Packers were playing with their food.

Yes, the QB that's won the last 16 games he's finished isn't a top 10 QB. That makes all the sense in the world. :laff:

It does make sense. The team won those games. I'm not one of those people who assigns wins to QBs if it's the infrastructure that's allowing the wins to happen. I know he's your QB, but let's not be silly. Jalen Hurts hasn't been 2022 Pat Mahomes throwing 5000+ yards to Juju and Valdez Scantling. He wasn't running all over defenses either like Lamar in this run either. He barely threw more than 100 yards against a defense that got cooked by Herbert last week.

It's fine to say the entire team is the reason for the wins if your starting QB threw for less the 3000 yards last year. The Eagles are one of the best teams in the league, but the actual stats and performance matter with players when ranking them.
