To be fair and this is just speaking to the Jaguars they have a top 5 run defense in the NFL. When Pat chucked that pick 6 that to me was the game even though the Jags did everything in their power to give that game back.
The other thing is unlike previous Jaguar coaches. Liam Cohen is willing to live and die off Trevor Lawrence as a QB and that may be the way moving forward.
That's fair. I don't want to discredit the Jaguars, as you can only play who is in front of you. I do think that KC was the best all-around OL -- even with Jawann Taylor at one of the tackles -- that defense had seen to this point of the season. And KC was fairly efficient with the run game, even when you take Mahomes' numbers away. They don't make the effort to establish the run as a legitimate part of the plan.
Now, Chiefs fans can come in and correct me/give knowledge, but take last night for instance. Pacheco had his longest run of the year at 16 yards on KC's second or third drive. He didn't touch the ball again for the rest of the first half. I don't know a GREAT deal about Pacheco but he seems to be a momentum runner that has to string together successful carries to get going.
Hunt gashes the Jags for 33 yards to open the second quarter. He sparingly gets carries/touches from then on. It's like they refuse to run the ball unless the defense has outright conceded it, and if a defense puts up the slightest bit of resistance to the run game once or twice, they say "Fukk it, go win it for us Pat"
