Nah, those albums didn't push Nas's discography forward, with the exception of Magic. Nas should've done that album-run with somebody else.

Jay has less misses than Nas does. If we're being honest, after IWW, Nas was hit or miss for the rest of his career. He's one of my favorite MC's of all-time, but he has a lot of albums that he probably shouldn't have made. Joints I'll probably never listen to again.

FOH breh. Kingdom Come, Magna Carta, BP 3, Jay got plenty of misses and a lot of his shyt didn't age well. You probably stopped counting albums 10 years ago. KD 1-3 and Magic definitely put Nas over. Way over lol.

Jay was just as hit or miss if not more. There's a lot of mid in his discography. BP2, Kingdom Come, BP3, Magna, The Carters, Watch the Throne, that R. Kelly shyt.

The Scarface disrespect is crazy :what:

This is a list made by crackers

Only 1 list got Pac on it and none of them got ‘Face, Mobb Deep or Cube on it. How the fukk you seriously make a top 10 discography list in hip hop and not include Ice Cube? It’s fukking insane. Straight CAC shyt these lists are void until it’s some brothas and sistas putting them together

Not only that, Fantano one of those types that look down his nose at hip hop and save his full on praise for albums that "transcend the genre." Typical Pitchfork type of hipster snob.

Not familiar with the others but they look like straight up geeks too :mjlol:

Breh I don’t think I’ve ever … I want to say hate but I’ll say strongly dislike that cracker Fantano… at least the last 10-12 years when nikkas would post his goofy ass reviews. I don’t care if he covering other genres but stay out of hip hop discussions. He dont know what the fukk he talking about, he bias and smug as fukk with his shytty takes

Jay had some misses too, but his weak albums had classics tracks on them. That's the difference.

Nas was already GOAT status by '98. Those Hit-Boy albums didn't do sh*t for his legacy, bro.

You're right. Hov definitely had some wack sh*t in there too.

But Nas has mad more weaker projects. These two are tied for me on my GOAT list, but Nas's catalogue fell of a cliff after IWW. Jay definitely has some weak sh*t in the stash, but it's not on the level of what Nas was doing. We gotta stop fronting when it comes to that, lol.

AG yeah 4:44 is a snoozefest

Most people love 4:44 though.

That joint was critically acclaimed. In that Kanye thread on the first page, a lot of dudes are in there speaking about how much they love it. So in damn near the past 20 years, 1/2 of dude's work is still widely seen as classic.

By who?

I'm a Nas stan, and I only liked Magic.

Most of this site and people online think Hit-Boy is trash too. So I'm just speaking objectively. Nas was already GOATed before those projects. They didn't do anything for his legacy. This album coming with Primo will though.
