Kobe was similar to Westbrook in regards to being an all time ball hog nobody would want to play with...
Except at least westbrook actually passed the ball, kobe wasn't a playmaker
Kobe led 5 championship teams in assist tho.
He ain't lying but that doesn't mean Kobe wasn't great.
this is nonsense
Im a Kobe fan, im not a stan like a lot of brehs on here.
Kobe was the best player in the NBA for a few years in his career. I agree about Lebron being the best player in 2007-08, but from 2005-2007, Kobe was the best.
And then he, Shaq, and Duncan alternated that crown from 2000-2004. They all werent the best for a season, but they were the best for a period during that time frame.
so nobody was calling bron the best when he destroyed detroit in the 07 playoffs and then was leading the cavs to 60-win seasons with mo williams as his sidekick?![]()
The misconception is Kobe mvp'd those 5seasons you are referring to. Reality is Lakers were not title contenders til Shaq And Phil got there. Once Shaq left, I believe they missed the playoffs. I remember Kobe flirting with going to Chicago. The Lakers then had to re up to be competitive again. Traded kwame for Pau Gasol, Got Lamar Odom for some ready rock, had a Shaq replacement (forgot his name but he was a beast for 2/3seasons) and with Phil at the helm they won two more.
I've never seen an all time great player lose as much as Kobe when the team isn't stacked. He should be able to carry his team's to the playoffs, Kobe often couldn't do that which is a red flag imo
LOL @ Kobe being the best player in the league at anytime...
All Kobe did was score pretty...
Dude got an MVP as a lifetime achievement award. Dude got All NBA Defensive Teams as a lifetime achievement award...
Lebron, Dirk, Wade, KG, Shaq, Dwight and Duncan all played throughout Kobe's prime and Kobe was never ever clear cut better than any of themthan any of them.
LeBron had more seasons in the DPoY conversation, could defend more positions, and make far more explosive defensive plays than Kobe ever could. How does LeBron not challenge himself defensively when he has been switched off to guards like MVP Rose and Tony Parker and locked them down, when just last year he was trusted to switch to DeRozan in 4Q's of the ECF, when LeBron effectively guarded PF's and some C's as a small ball PF in Miami, when his signature play requires him to run the length of the court and pin shots off the glass killing fast breaks.
Gthfoh with this nonsense
