Many people here would take issue with his claims of being an independent artist. There was nothing organic about his rise to success.
no this is literally how it works. these people pay attention to #of likes. It's easier to pay some IG model $1000 to wear your brand, usually the ig model can find a photographer for free, and they go do a shoot somewhere. Compared to going through an agency, finding a commercial photographer, paying for a location, paying for the rights to the pics, etc...People do this all the time. Now you take away likes from public view, these brands will have to pay IG for that info. IG gets their cut.

You're just saying things, brands aren't going to pay Instagram for metrics on Influencers to get a piece of the pie, that's not how any of this works. If the name of the game is getting the most likes to attract brands, everyone would game the system by buying likes and followers, the obvious issue is that they'd have no ROI because likes aren't the most effective way to determine the quality of user engagement, comments are more effective.
