You're just saying things, brands aren't going to pay Instagram for metrics on Influencers to get a piece of the pie, that's not how any of this works. If the name of the game is getting the most likes to attract brands, everyone would game the system by buying likes and followers, the obvious issue is that they'd have no ROI because likes aren't the most effective way to determine the quality of user engagement, comments are more effective.

Yes, I remember, but accounts with fake likes and followers aren't able to game brands because there are more important factors, for example, bigger influencers are a part of the same network, their interactions with each other act as validation of reputability, and this is only one data point that's considered, so a rando with 100,000 fake followers and likes can't hit the scene and start eating even thought their content is getting a lot of likes. brands wouldn't touch them.
