From all the rumors, except the one you posted, it looks like they won't be going that route. I expect some android hybrid.

That and 3rd party multiplat games sell like shyt on damn near every Nintendo console after the SNES (portables being the exception). There's really no reason for western 3rd parties to put their games on Nintendo hardware if it's gonna sell like shyt next to Mario and Zelda.

That's just a snowball effect of nintendo having inferior hardware across the board throughout it's console history. If something is multiplat and it's an inferior version, you wouldn't get it on that console. If Nintendo had consoles where 3rd party games aren't flat out INFERIOR on them then people would buy them. Plus nintendo hasn't figured out that we don't really like their peripheral gimmicks like that, shyt, half of the exclusives we get nintendo consoles for we don't even use them for. (Smash and Mario Kart come to mind)

Yeah the last time Nintendo got a superior version of a multiplat was with Resident Evil 4 (before it was ported to every system known to man resulting in Mikami cutting his head off multiple times) and Soul Calibur 2.
Beyond that, I don't know what multiplatform game was actually superior on a Nintendo console post Gamecube.
Although I heard the Wii version of Manhunt 2 was interesting.
