I just don't understand why the queers at nintendo don't just drop a next gen pc based console, mario,zelda,and let third parties eat. Let me be Ceo of nintendo, my 2016 bonus would be hella large. I dont like the move because they need all the exposure they can get for the WiiU right now, but they will technically still be there. Winb is right about E3 though. It's not as important as it used to be. Just look at Sony and M$ having conferences before it .
Let's be real here. This thread shows that the demographic that watches E3 has already made up their mind about Nintendo's console. I doubt the few casuals that are watching this stuff at 11 am on Spike TV think this is a big deal. Most of them will get E3 info from whatever media outlets they normally use.

That "gimmick" is supposed to be attached to Microsoft's console. You have to throw salt on all 3 of the companies for running with it.

Its pretty obvious what Nintendo tried to do. They wanted to pander to both casuals and hardcore gamers so they just slightly beefed up the specs on the Wii and changed the controller. They assumed that the casuals would still be there to a certain extent and the move to HD would take care of those who had a problem with the Wii's graphics.

There problem isnt their specs. Nintendo was just feeling themselves too much after the Wiii's success. They thought they could just sell this off their name alone and its not happening. The Wii U is failing because its been out 6 months and still has no must have games. Inexcusable.
