I'm just now learning Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack coming out at the end of this month is the original game, the sequel, all DLC, upgraded graphics for Switch and is made by the developers of the Mega Man Zero series. Must cop since I never played either.

It's got local co-op too since I know you asked about multiplayer games before. I think the way it works though is that the campaign is still single player but with each level you beat, you unlock multiplayer challenge maps
