One temporary fix I saw on gaf is sliding the paper that the Switch came in over the completely front of the dock it's a perfect fit. Looks terrible but it gets the job done for now.

Also check settings and it looks like "match tv slate mode" Will fix the issue as well

Make sure ya'll put on a screen protector before you dock it. fukking dock scratches the Switch screen when you put it in and pull it out. fukked up Nintendo didn't realize that.
Mine hasn't been scratched I've docked and undocked at least 30 times

First taste of a Nintendo console since the GameCube (I'm an old head), and I'm beyond loving this device. I think Nintendo got something in the Switch.
