From a development standpoint they lose money by prioritizing new hardware.

Hardware makers break even or lose money at launch.

Being able to make money off last gen is the only reason next gen can exist.

Tell me I'm lying. My PS5 been on standby mode more than it's on. After beating Spiderman and Astrobot it's been a cool accessory to my room.
Demon's souls is

Nothing really worth playing outside of some PS4 shyt so it feels like I'm playing PS4 Pro XL.

Cyberpunk is mostly uncooked so let's not go there.


Xbox is even worse.

I had access to a Series X for 3 days and I was playing mostly Halo Reach on that shyt


I think it's cuz I got a gaming PC as well.

I don't think anybody really buys a modern console at launch expecting to be blown away in that first year. All you're gonna get these days are the games they're willing to allow to go to the system when the install base is heavily constrained. The really bit titles can't be released with a handful of people own the system because they have to recoup that budget. The Nintendo 64 or maybe the Xbox are the last consoles I can remember that came to launch with a true heavy hitter. You won't get the good stuff till at least closer to the start of year 2.

The launch period is typically dry with mostly mid games. If we are lucky we get a Halo, Soul Caliber or BOTW but that’s not always the case.

What exactly were you expecting in the first 90 days? Particularly During a pandemic. Give it a couple of month some announced. games may get delayed but the games are coming. Before you know it you’ll have a back long. If it’s a money issue I won’t count your pockets.

We are in 2021...all this money going to Sony and MS; they could have waited to put these shyts out or took all that money from last gen, paid developers to start working on games a long time ago, and gave consumers their money's worth. Just because your peon ass brain can't understand that "well have you seen previous launches" doesn't mean shyt when these companies have all this money nowadays.

Problem is, the disc readers in both consoles are kinda ass. Better off with digital PS5, and they shoulda just made a digital only series X.

Last gen hardware in general is just very low quality.

They run loud, hot, they are buggy, and the tech is just very dated. If yall feel comfort in holding onto it for longer for whatever reason, cool. Most of us see the QoL improvements alone as night and day and see thats its well worth the money at this point to upgrade.

At the end of the day, we still have access to every game you do but we don’t have to worry about having a console by the time next gen games start dropping. This isn’t like going to a ps4 from a ps3 and we only got 6 games to play. No we have our entire libraries carried over and they play better than they did before.

There is literally no downside at all about owning a next gen system. These post scream sour grapes

Man. This shyt happens literally EVERY launch. nikkas said the same shyt about the PS4 and Xbox One when they dropped. Let’s get it straight here. @Fatboi1 u a PC nikka too so I figured u would know better. But the upgrades these consoles offer to the older games by itself is already worth the price of admission in my book. And that’s with both consoles. It’s like being disappointed when u grab a new GPU. Or build a new PC. New games don’t just magically appear. But the old games run so much better it’s worth the money. Now for me. Its def been worth it. I been playing shyt I never played. I just copped Ghost Of Tsushima and shyt is pure heat I couldn’t even imagine playing this shyt on a PS4 Pro or something at 30fps. The load times are phenomenal shyt damn near feels like cartridge. Days Gone is a game i dubbed when it dropped and now its fukking FREE on PS5 and has a PS5 upgrade. shyt is dope at 60fps. shyt even Mortal Kombat 11 looks and feels better to play. On top of the fact that I finally got a console that feels like it can fully utilize my LG OLEDs. From the menus to the controller and how u don’t got games? Unless u just don’t feel like playin shyt? Demon Souls, Sackboy, Miles Morales, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs, COD, Hitman 3, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Dirt 5, etc etc. All released within the window of the next gen consoles. I can name more PS4 Pro games that got a P5 upgrade. Like the disc version of The Last Guardian runs 60fps. Disc version of GOW runs 4K 60fps. The list goes on brodie.

Next gen doesn't start til 1-2 years in the life cycle. Developers won't abandon the 100m users from last gen.

Sony fan base is all about exclusive games and hype... Hence why I was saying in Nov people are running out getting systems and paying marked up prices that don't even play games like that outside of blockbusters are going to be upset come this year. Demon souls can only last you so long.

After that, it's a pretty decent wait before latching on to an exclusive. I think the next thing is destruction all stars, then returnal at the end of march, and hopefully Ratchet in April. If you not consistently playing on playstation 4 you could have waited to cop.


And the xbox literally doesnt have a single exclusive next gen game out and won't until later this week. After that who know when the next one is going to drop.... Yet people ran out and copped for 1200 dollars and or used there stimmy and wondering why it's not living up to the hype.



I'm very pleased with my purchases but I went in knowing that both my PS5 and Xbox were going to be backwards compatibility upgrade machines and QOL upgrades and they've lived up to that and exceeded it.

Basically. 100% facts. nikkas actin like they lose access to they last gen libraries with these consoles and if it’s that I can see the complaining a LIL bit because there has been plenty of games that dropped since these consoles dropped and I know nikkas ain’t playing games THAT much. But these consoles do nothing but ENHANCE your library. These Sony launch titles this gen was FAR better than the launch titles last gen. Even cross platform shyt is FAR better than the start of last gen. Last gen we had the WOAT Call Of Duty game as a launch title. BF4 was literally broken at launch. PS4 had underwhelming mediocre shyt like Killzone and Knack. Xbox had mediocre shyt like Ryse and Dead Rising 3. nikkas got blessed this time honestly.
