No disrespect ... but are the Celtics the weakest 1 seed in NBA history?

You cant be series lmaooo

It was the lockout year, only 50 wins :mjlol: they were on a 63 win pace :pachaha:

of course they lost first round, DRose got hurt :dead:

:skip:

It's was a weak 1 seed. Idk what you want me to say breh. It was a one man show and as soon as he went down you couldn't even beat an 8 seed.

the 2015 Hawks won 60 games. You not weak if you win 60 games
This

It's easy to hate on that 14-15 hawks team now but at the time they LOOKED legit going into that series against the Cavs.

People forget that the talk going into that series was how the Hawks had won the season series against the cavs 3-1. They were definitely seen as contenders by most, especially considering the fact that they beat the Warriors that year too

the 1994 Atlanta Hawks were weak

Nets and Sixers were also type weak as well.

I can't comment on entire history of the league, and I know thats not what you meant since most of the teams you will mention would have been from the last 15-20 years. Those 3 teams were the first that came to mind in my NBA viewing experience.
You can't make the Finals and be a weak #1 seed. That shyt literally makes no sense.

it makes a lot of sense.

The 2012 Spurs didnt make the finals and were the #1 seed out west. Does that mean the 2001 Sixers were better than them?

The 1986 Lakers were the #1 seed in the West but didnt make the finals, does that mean the 2002 Nets were better than them?

bro first off, take your L

talking about 'ONLY 50 WINS, when you dont even realize its the damn lockout season :comeon:

if Bron went down on those Cleveland teams in the late 2000s, they would have been losing round 1 too

fukk outta here :pacspit: that 'weak' team was easily the best defensive team in the league and back to back 60 win seasons and an ECF lost to the Heatles

saying they are the WORST 1 seed EVER is absolute bullshyt

the 2015 Hawks won 60 games. You not weak if you win 60 games

REGARDLESS OF RECORD
EVERYONE KNEW
THE CAVS AND BULLS WERE THE BEST TEAMS
IN THE EAST THAT YEAR.

2012 Bulls easily. Only 50 wins and a 1st round loss.

Miss me with that injury bullshyt, that team wasn't winning shyt.

:mjlol: 50 WINS IN A LOCKOUT SEASON
YOU STUPID fukk.
THEY WERE A LOCK FOR THE ECF
AND A TOSS UP WITH MIA.

If bron or milsap went down in their respect 1 seed seasons I think they'd still easily advance. Gibson and bogans as your two three options that team was destined to never be shyt

:russ:CAVS CANT WIN SINGLE GAMES WITHOUT BRON
BUT THEY WINNING A SERIES WITHOUT HIM?

:laff:YOUR WEAK ASS HAWKS WENT 6 GAMES WITH THE GARBAGE ASS NETS WITH MILSAP
BUT THEY WINNING WITHOUT HIM?

At least the Nets has Kidd in his prime. He was playing at such a highe level at the time carrying a team to the finals

Celtics don't have a player close to Kidds level

But you have to consider they didnt have to face a player as good as LBJ or a team like the Cavs or even Raps. East was definitely at its weakest both times NJ made it to the finals. Bunch of stars with garbage around them: T-Mac, A.I., Carter, Pierce/Walker and that Pistons team wasn't as good as it'll become.

NJ in 2002 or Detroit the following year might as well be the answer.

They took advantage of the bulls and cavs not playing well early. They just need a good wing player who can take over when they need buckets

Yeah for sure, those cracks were quite obvious early on. Like I said, they had a good formula for the RS bt we all knew it wouldn't matter when it had to. Hell I didn't even bother watching the ECF that year lol
