Me. This is by far his best game of the season. I know he's good against the run, but you don't take run-stopping DEs at 5 in the draft.

This. I hope the offense can go on a long drive to give these guys a decent break, Stafford's 3 and outs are a big part of why the D gets gassed late in games. Ansah is in beast mode out there.

That's the thing. Fans only know about sacks when it comes to the de position, so when they don't see big big sack numbers then he must not be producing. The de's in this defense are run stoppers first and maintain the outside contain. He's a huge part of why our run d is so great.

Looking back at that draft I would only want Richardson or star from the panthers over him.

Or Fluker. It may sound crazy but I think we got the best player out of that top 10.

Why do you think Tate is always open and Stafford is locking onto him? Ebron's creating those mismatches on every play and the defense is scheming for him and not Tate.

I think most DEs can be coached into being good run stoppers or your system can call for that. DEs need to get pressure on the QB too, especially with DTs like Suh and Fairley taking up most of the blockers.

Looking back at that draft I would only want Richardson or star from the panthers over him.

Yeah, looking back, that was a really weak top ten.

Our defense is legit. I think that is the fist time I've said that about the Lions in my lifetime and not smirked.
