Stafford tried his best to give the game away.

:salute:To the defense

Ehhh Stafford first INT was high could have been caught. Second one was a punt/prayer to Calvin I'll take it. He complete 65% of his passes and looked like a diff QB once Lucas replace Reynolds at RT and didn't have Peppers in his face every other play.

Once clay Matthews left the game the offense was able to work a lil more.

Lions to release Nate Freese, sign Alex Henery

The Detroit Lions' patience with Nate Freese has officially run out. After the rookie kicker missed another field goal on Sunday -- this time a 41-yard attempt -- the Lions decided that it was time to make a change. As a result, the Lions are planning to release Freese and sign free agent Alex Henery, according to Dave Birkett.
When the Lions drafted Freese in the seventh round this year, the hope was that he would lock down the kicker role for the foreseeable future. However, Freese got off to a shaky start in training camp, and by all accounts he was really outperformed by Giorgio Tavecchio. The Lions stuck with Freese anyway, but after starting his career 3-for-7 on field goals and showing no confidence beyond 40 yards, they had to make a change.
Henery, who went to Nebraska, is set to join the Lions as Freese's replacement after working out for the team last week. He was the Philadelphia Eagles' kicker from 2011-13, and his career numbers look like this:
2011: 24-for-27 (88.9%), long of 51 yards
2012: 27-for-31 (87.1%), long of 49 yards
2013: 23-for-28 (82.1%), long of 51 yards
The Eagles decided to go in a different direction at kicker this year, but at least Henery has shown an ability to consistently make field goals in the NFL. Freese wasn't able to do that, and that's why the Lions decided to make a change at kicker.

Tully officially out for the year :stopitslime:

Maybe I'm just drinking the kool aid but I don't even care that he is gone. We have been playing almost exclusively nickle coverage anyway. Levy was going to the middle next year anyway. When Van Noy gets back him and Whitehead can rotate.

It actually improves our coverage range at LB and gets that midget out of te matchups.

The way Levy has become a star his talent might be better used in the middle of the field and upgrade the team anyway.

Im not the biggest tulloch fan but he's a important part of that defense. Whitehead got a lot to prove and van noy gotta be on the field first.

I'm not really sold on Whitehead, so hopefully he's plays like he has in his few glimpses. Van Noy is coming off an injury of his own so no telling how he rehabs after that surgery he had. Most projected him not coming back until week 7-8 at best anyway. Now, I think Levy who has been a monster out there takes a set back because of what Tully could free him to do.

Time to see if the linebacking corp is really legit.

At least we know they have No reason to take a offensive player the next 2 drafts! Don't need any wr, rb or te....... better be 6 defensive players.

Lions TE Joseph Fauria uncertain after twisting ankle
http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sp...eph-fauria-uncertain-twisting-ankle/16211009/

Coach Jim Caldwell announced Thursday afternoon that tight end Joseph Fauria suffered an off-the-field injury on Wednesday and will not practice today. His status for Sunday's matchup against the Jets is uncertain.

"He ended up getting a bit of an injury last night and will not practice today, so you won't see him out there," Caldwell said. "It's an ankle and he's being evaluated further in terms of MRIs and things of that nature.

Dude was probably dancing and his dog tripped him :snoop:
