No, Hope Solo Is Not "Like" Ray Rice

Do you think the Hope Solo situation should be perceived the same way as the NFL situations?

  • Yes, domestic violence is domestic violence. It should all be viewed as equally appalling.

  • No, the present and historical contexts of the issues justifies the different public responses.

  • No, but I still think the response to Ray Rice and AD has been overblown.

Hell naw cuz i'd drop a bish if it ever came down to some life or death shyt BUT it seem like you don't think dere's hoes out chea capable of doin crazy(physical) things to nikkas. :dwillhuh:

Or dey should be treated differently just because dey packin a p*ssy. :patrice:
The point of the article was pretty straightforward--obviously female domestic violence is going to be perceived the same way because of the historical and present circumstances surrounding it. It's like asking why racism by white people is more appalling and ignoring the history and present conditions surrounding it. Certain double standards are justified. For people to be acting like Hope Solo's situation and Ray Rice's are the same is to ignore history and what actually happened--Ray Rice knocked short unconscious. Last, people like the author and others also do believe that she should be suspended from US Soccer and from Nike just like AD--they're just not pretending that it's on the same level.

I'm tired of the "in vogue" trend coverage this has taken on. Pulling out archives of NFL players that's behaved badly when domestic violence is a national issue. There's a woman right as we speak getting beat by a man that isn't an NFL player and CNN And ESPN isn't there to care unless he wears a jersey

Let's be real here brehs. As a man you can put a woman through a fukkin wall and there isn't shyt she can do about it, but cry for help from another man. Conversely, a woman can't beat your ass unless she has a weapon, or she's some big Samoan chick and you're a little bytch.

So it's not exactly the same thing, Ray Rice's woman couldn't do shyt against him, but Hope Solo's 17 year old brother and grown woman sister aren't at the same disadvantage. Now should she be suspended? Yes. Should she be defended and given all this team captain bullshyt? fukk no.

It's like the biggest strongest dude in the room picking on the smallest dude in the room, it's some bytch made shyt. However, the term "Don't start none, won't be none" also comes to mind. Your small ass can get that work too if you fukk with me, understand?

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
it shouldn't be perceived the same way but she should still get the "angry mob" reaction at her. Assault is assault.

@NYC Rebel if you actually did the knowledge you wouldnt overlook the fact that female on male abuse is actually very underreported and it's closer to even than you think. No man wants to be that known as a dude who got beat by his wife.

It's not about "fearing" women. Or "building men's shelters" Just don't be misleading

Bullshyt niqqa. Screw that "if I actually did the knowledge" nonsense. Either show me the under reported evidence of men forced to leave their homes because of violent women being anywhere near the degree as it being the other way around.

Stop thinking the mere existence of something makes things equal. :childplease:
