What's wrong with a good old-fashioned defensive struggle where games are won at the line of scrimmage. Those are the games that expose coaching and discipline. Every mistake, bad call, turnover are crucial.

4th and 1 just outside of field goal range.... do we punt and pin them or do we go for it or do we try a long field and risk losing the field position advantage.



Coaches who have their team ready win these type of games.

Yes the extra point has become automatic and boring but it's still a point you have to earn...I've seen quite a few teams lose a game due to a shanked extra point...

I'm also against punts too. You should play all 4 downs and turnover on downs, period. But Kickoff is still good IMO

I think its a good proposal. Also I think kickoffs should be optional as well, up to the kicking team if they want to kick it for an onside or have the receiving team start at the 20. With the kickoff spot being moved up, in a few years I can see a really high percentage (95%+) of kickoffs just being touchbacks.

Its corny. This is the only rule im for. Make teams go for 2. It also adds more jobs for players too. Alot more short yardage personel could get employed
