You said c00ns so I'm assuming you weren't talking about QB's.

Fair enough but it’s the same point l, if the NFL star players held out a deal would be made asap. Nobody is gonna enjoy watching backups out there in ugly ass games.

MLB does not have 40 man rosters. They have 25 man rosters and pay pennies for the other players coming up to make 40 late in the season.

Also, the NFL has more coaches, pay more for accommodations and other things.

Some of those players making pennies on the 40 man roster are still taking home a mil or 2, backups on the 53 man roster be out here taking home 500k or less

Matt Stafford is getting over 20 mill, don't think the team would be much worse if at all if the backup was in. Odell misses most of the season and the Giants get a number 2 pick, great players in general hurt a team, most starting QBs are replaceable yet if you are a starting QB you will more than likely get 20 mil per season. QB position is possibly the MOST dependent position in football, how good is your team and QB without a good line, or good skill position players. Patroits make the Super Bowl because they don't pay Brady the going rate. No Zeke and no playoffs for Dallas let alone 13 wins.

Imagine if Russell Wilson blows his ACL Week 1. Would their be any debate that Seattle with Brett Hundley at QB would be among the worst teams in the NFL? Green Bay went from an NFC favorite to 7-9 because Aaron rodgers missed 10 games and GB went 3-7 in them. Colts went 4-12 last season. Lions have had a winning record 3 of the last 4 seasons, with Matt Cassel at qb, 3-13 at best this season. The most important position in football is that for a reason.

you need a deep team to win in football so gotta spread the wealth for talent. the union is still shyt tho. they should negotiate for all players to get at least 50% of their contracts guaranteed.

That just means hit in rounds 3-7. There’s very few difference makers in football, if you have one keep him.

The cap being only 70 million more than an NBA team that has 4 times less people is embarrassing. What’s there split 70/30 in favor of the owners?

I think teams should be allowed a certain amount of their own drafted players that don't count against the cap. That way, if you draft a quarterback, you can pay him a ton and not be gutting your team and dealing with stuff like Leveon Bell.

Only 3 QBs are even worth their value. Brees, Brady , and Rodgers. The difference in a Tyrod Taylor and Russel Wilson would be reduced if you used the extra money to spread the wealth to the rest of team.

Cassel also won 10 games with the patriots ,with the right scheme he could be decent. Keenum Foles Bortles was in the conference championship games. All of them are the definition of an average a QB.

The colts wouldn’t be able to make the playoffs even if they had Luck back. That whole team suck.

The NFL generates more revenue than any other league in the country and pays it's players the least.

The MLB has 40 man rosters and spend significantly more money on their players on average and the money is guaranteed
Wrong. You’re just making shyt up now. If you aren’t then drop all the mlb teams with all this major spending. Very few teams in the mlb have more one players on a team make more than 20 million. Mlb players don’t even get paid really until they hit free agency and that takes 6 years of service time on a mlb 25 man roster

You’d be hard press to find more 5. And that include the usual suspects in the Yankees and Red Sox. Maybe the reds and dodgers. Every sports league with a huge roster can’t pay all these multiple mega contracts.

Tyrod Taylor is currently under a 2 year 30 milion dollar contract. Tyrod counts $16 million against the cap this season. Russell Wilson is at $23 million. Who could the Seahawks have gotten with a $7 million cap hit that would bridge that substantial gap? No one. That's why Wilson is worth his pay. Matt Cassel did go 11-5.....a decade ago, and with a roster that just went 18-1. He's been actively bad for years.

They still missed the playoff with Wilson tho. They will miss it again this year. The Seahawks was great because they had a great defense with good depth. Once they lost that they turned to an average team. The common denominator in the Seahawks being a great team was the great defense and Marshawn being beast mode.

I would choose Wilson over Tyrod if it just 7million tho. Their signing bonus and shyt are waaay apart tho. So it’s not just 7mil he come at a steeper price. But I didn’t realize he made that much must be a browns premium lol.

They still had a winning record and Blair Walsh cost them a couple games. Need to get off this narrative that Russ is good enough to be a playoff QB. Russ is still a top 5 qb in the league.

And if were on that discussion besides Brady who has Beli in that system, both Brees and Rodgers have missed the playoffs in their careers, Brees many times.
