I'd gotta dig in the archives. Maybe not in comic books but I'm sure there are movies where you're rooting for the bad guy who's also the films lead. shyt maybe The Godfather 2 lol. Michael is a b*stard from start to finish but you're following his journey. We understand where Michael is coming from but that doesn't make him less of a villain. That's the first one that comes to mind but it may not be the best example

They would have the perfect source material too - Brubaker has written books with Doom talking about his life in detail. Legion was a great blueprint for an origin story, so they have that going for them.

Hawley getting this gig makes me wonder if Sam Esmail has been offered any comic book movies yet.

Esmail directing the Batman/Riddler flick or adapting one of the Jeph Loeb/ Tim Sale books would be
