Its nothing wrong with being spiritual, but the religion thing is another monster
What's your definition of being spiritual?
Its nothing wrong with being spiritual, but the religion thing is another monster
better than them? no, but do i live my life with better moral conviction, not being a blatant hypocrite to the religious values i pretend to love? yes. church people stay doing dirt all over the place then want to look down on those who don't go to church, when many non-church goers are living more correct than so-called christians
The spiritual term is for people who don't want to be held accountable for believing in their bullshyt religions in the first place so they take the stuff they like and wrap it up in their own flavor.
They're just more dishonest religious people who know that associating themselves with religion makes them look ridiculous so they try to evade the distinction by using more PC language.
They're both essentially idiots.
Either what they believe is true, or its not. We're not beating around the bush here.
I was waiting for him to answer the question but you just bodied him for me.Lots of lost souls in this thread, but not the place for that discussion ......
But being thankful for whatever your family is about to partake in, and wishing for well being of others in your family and people around you is SOO hard to do, you satanic individuals can't even respectfully bow your heads and close your eyes for 30 seconds even if you're not a follower of that religion
Thats just the demon inside of you being perterbed around the spirit of God, that gives you that urge to look around make funny faces and be disrespectful.....it probably feels quite uncomfortable around multiple people filled with the grace of the Lord
Saying thank you god isn't being thankful to anything.

How is bowing your head and praying to a god being thankful for the food your family make? If you want to be thankful shouldn't you go up to moms and say thank you to her. Or even better, next week you cook for her and tell her to go have a spa day on you?
Saying thank you god isn't being thankful to anything. It's usually a baseless gesture, like when people sneeze and say "God bless you."
You don't have to lecture.
You could always excuse yourself from the activities you don't feel comfortable in. And I didn't know not being there at a prayer is disrespectful.

whelp I've heard it all in this thread, time for me to leave. I'm so glad all these non-religious folks have received the Divine ability to read believers Hearts and what they really mean when they give thanks to God![]()
You can do both. Its God who brought you all together in the first place to share such a beautiful moment together. To love and care for one another. Lets give him the praise off top and then thank our kin and share love and appreciation to them as well. Lets work in our relationships with God, friend because it seems like you just dont care about The Almighty and i dont understand why.
So you mean to tell me every prayer say during dinner is filled with genuine thankfulness? Come on now breh, I'm not that naive. Saying "thank you god for this food we're about to receive, please bless the hands that prepared it" 9/10 is the same canned response you always say when you pray.
It's something you recite and rattle off, but it really ain't shyt you truthfully are thankful for.
for you to comprehend. But when I say to thanks to God for something, I..........am genuinely giving thanks to God

and the rest of us are

I know this might befor you to comprehend. But when I say to thanks to God for something, I..........am genuinely giving thanks to God
Whether it's for dinner or my defrost working smoothly in the morning. Again how can a self-claimed non-religious person even begin to question the hearts and motivations behind a believers pattern of giving thanks? Especially Since being thankful to God is obviously a concept that you have no familiarity with![]()
"I never force religion or spirituality on anybody. Some religious beliefs are absolutley rediculous in my opinion. BUT, I've seen people who don't believe in God or don't believe in religion get "real God fearing/religious/spiritual" when they are faced with some life or death shyt.
You know the saying, "everybody finds God in Prison or in a foxhole"![]()
I used to be religious, so I do have familiarity with it. The reason I say it's not true thankfulness is because there's no action involved with the process. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. True thankfulness will manifest itself in certain ways (which is why I said if you're thankful for your moms cooking, you'd show it).
The same goes for your faith in God. You're thankful to God for getting you to work without dying? How are you showing it? More than likely, you're not. Nothing about you makes anyone thinks "damn, I can see God in that dude, I respect that"
It's the reason when people go through a tramatic experience that they believe God had a hand in, they TELL everybody.
But hey what do I know, I'm just another lost nikka :nonikkas:
