Like i said earlier ... I thought the beef was because Mega, who was an unknown globally, was stubborn and didnt wanna follow Nas' advice and he signs to Def Jam ... I didnt know Stoute wanted him removed.
As far as why he replaced Mega that I do not know. he could of just left it him, AZ and Fox.... similiar to the commision with Big, Jay, and Charlie Baltimore.

Steve Stoute said himself that Mega wasn't a good fit because he was envious of Nas and felt that he was "owed" something. Stoute purposefully removed Mega from the Firm.

Californ-i-a by way of BK
I do agree Mega probably couldn't get over the fact of Nas being over him. In real life, Mega is damn near a street legend on Queensbridge, Nas always hung around the killers/big drug dealers, but he never was one himself. So Cormega probably felt away about being under someone that doesn't have a rep anywhere near his in QB, but as far as rap Nas was the legend, and Mega was just the other dude that hung around. The whole dynamics changed.

Yeah in QB. Just like Big Daddy Kane said Jaz O was considered the best rapper in Brooklyn. But to the rest of the world BDK was way better. Same with Nas and Mega

Yeah, I have Nas ahead of Mega, Mega is dope though. Think he's kind of underrated , he was spittin articulate street poetical rhymes in the streets and killin people in battles. He's a dope MC. Even though he's pretty much Brooklyn/QB hybrid MC.

Yea.. In QB.. Cause of his status over there..nikkas gassed him and there was bias...the world who doesn't know ur history..won't have that same bias.. It's a clean slate..

I don't think it was just that, I think it was the raw street poetic articulate bars mixed with the authenticity . Mega was a hard lyricist. I have Nas ahead of Mega due to diversity and body of work but Mega ain't no slouch either. I can understand why people thought Mega was the best even if I might disagree, possibly the rawest though.

I didn't say Mega wasn't nice as fukk..I said cause of bias nikkas didn't give accurate judgement..Mega is NOT nicer than Nas in damn near anything rap wise imo...Mega wasn't nicer than Trag either..not to say Mega isn't nice.. He just wasn't as nice as Nas...Mega thought since he was more popular in the hood..it would be the same way outside of it.. The world saw shyt from a clearer point of view..

I don't know, cause I know people not from QB that prefer Mega to Nas, normally street dudes but others too. It would have been interesting to see how they would compare with equal amount of material, feel it would be closer then cause Mega has some very good albums and not really any subpar ones. Nas for me has to be ahead cause so much material and at a high level too, great discography, and probably has showed more than Mega, however there's certain Mega albums I'd take over most of Nas releases so I think MC wise it's not a drastic difference, apart from Nas cause of material has displayed more creativity and diversity etc. Personally I like Mega even better than Tragedy and I'm a big Tragedy fan, they all talented. I don't think it was that, I think it was the positions they were in buisnes wise. Mega dropped his first solo in 2001 and Nas dropped in 94. Nas with a major behind him too. I do think music wise Nas takes it, but I base that off material. Nas been dropping albums now for nearly 2 decades so he's got a head start in a sense. But talent wise I don't feel the discrepancy is huge.
