Lol I literally said I have employees. And how else would I be paying their salaries without clients patronizing the business?

Exactly!!!! You agree with what I said and don't know it. Because "clients" and "employees" are people. Instead of going back and forth with me, go back and reread every post i made. I clearly pointed out black people inability to work together. Black people could make MORE money if we worked together, instead of being individual BOSS and doing it alone. Competition within capitalism hurts more than it helps being black people are a minority. Its obvious you're good in being a individual BOSS, so why are you even commenting on this thread?

You're not making a good argument. You specified needing to work with black people to build businesses and I said that's unnecessary. I asked you to clarify the aspects of a business I'd need other black people for and you couldn't answer. Now you're saying I'm an "individual boss" as opposed to what? A collective one?

:pachaha: Its nothing to argue about.

If you're black and live in a black community, then me personally, I'd prefer to have black employees. Then they'd go out into that black community, and for example, put roofs on black homes. Because right now, I see Mexicans putting roofs on black homes consistently. Me personally I'd need black people to patronize my black business in that community. And over a period of time, if more black people patronize my black business, I'd grow that black business.. THEN....... If im good, that black business could get city contracts to do, for example, roofing for subsidized homes in certain communities within the county that business is located in.. Its a lot of government money to be made. Any idiot can get money and get a business going. But will it succeed?

Are you purposely being obtuse? Because the premise of the thread is about getting the business and making it profitable as well.

This is the type of thinking that keeps generations of black folks broke. Turn down 90k with full benefits for $0 net profit business. Most folks would be better off getting a degree in a good field and getting a job.

A typical corporate benefits package (401k match, health insurance, paid holidays and vacation and sick time) is normally worth over 20k alone on top of your salary.

I keep doing this, I apologize. I keep giving the impression that I give a fukk what ya'll think :mjlol:

It's simple. I value a woman who's an Entrepreneur over someone who's not. A less stricter work schedule with uncapped income is what attracts me more. And a more open schedule makes it easier for raising children

I think it’s alarming for this push of entrepreneurship onto black women who would make far more money working for the man.

Theory: Sistahs tend to go to saturated and unlicensed (low barrier of entry) service industries.

Most of these businesses are probably side gigs. Very few black women are giving up actual jobs to start businesses because
1.) They get the least amount of start up funds out of any other racial demographic

AND

2.) They are most likely to have to pay out of pocket for overhead costs.

Generating 24k is a great starting point b/c some businesses don’t even do that. I think it’s awesome because black women are demonstrating their resilience. There are going to be many miserable haters who will laugh at their efforts, but in spite of the odds being stacked against them, they are still pushing forward instead of giving up. I love that for them.
They are the least likely to get start funding, least likely to have capital, and least likely to get approved for business loans all due to racism, but they are still willing to try. The experience and networking they get is being noticed and several companies are now starting to get behind them. I predict in the future, as more black women learn about the process, they’ll become even more successful. It’s a steep learning curve. Considering this is a fairly new trend (the rate of bw business owners just increased over 300% in the last few years) it’s a great start. You rarely hit gold overnight in entrepreneurship.

To be honest, their modest successes are highly commendable given the circumstances.

This week they're saying how working for the man is better. Next week they'll be crying about how the CEO is making a trillion dollars, and they're being over worked for that 90k and 401k benefits package.. You see why people committing suicide at astronomical rates? Their way of thinking is bipolar and they change positions all the time to be on the winning side of a stupid internet argument..

You gotta start somewhere, my business took three years before it turned a profit. I encourage those who can and stick with it to start their own business
Yeah I’m not sure what the expectation is. Realistically, given the fact that they get virtually no help or start up funding or capital or business loans—so they doing it all out of pocket by themselves and they STILL turning a profit…

Nobody becomes a Fortune 500 overnight. I think this is a good ass start.
Not to mention some of the businesses and non-profits they are creating are friggin amazing!

Starting up a business is a tough road period. This stat could be the same for black men as well
Not to mention along with all the odds I described above, black women are the demographic most likely to be abused on social media.

Given the fact that social media is such a large marketing tool, it can be difficult for black female owned businesses to tap into that resource with haters and negativity trying to tear them down.

And yet…they still keep pushin:wow:which what you have to do to eventually become successful.

And realistically the biggest haters of black women in business is......... other black women.. I see it all the time because I look to black owned businesses for my needs 1st.

I’ve seen that dynamic too. But I see waaaay more racist non-blks in my experiences, and then other black women and men do it more. Non-blks due to racism and other blks due to internalized self-hate and “white man’s ice is colder” mentality.
Black women are actually pretty supportive of other black female business pursuits which is why people complain about the “sistahood”.

Non-blks will harass black women online and in real life too.

Black people will talk shyt about customer service but go and get racially abused by racist Asians in a Korean nail salon…but bytch about black nail techs taking too long…:deadrose:

Here’s some more context:

What’s the Average Profit for the First Year in Business?

Most businesses don’t make any profit in their first year of business, according to Forbes. In fact, most new businesses need 18 to 24 months to reach profitability. And then there’s the reality that 25 percent of new businesses fail in their first year, according to the Small Business Administration.

OP is right that this isn’t a bash thread. Given the context of most businesses, it CAN’T be a bash thread. Even under perfect circumstances, most businesses don’t turn a profit.
Black women are
-black and female in a racist society
-in a community of haters
-get the least startup funding
-least business loans
-have to fund out of pocket the most
-are learning everything from scratch without being able to outsource responsibilities to anyone
-while still holding down jobs, raising families and being most likely to be caretakers of elders in the black community

And STILL trucking on. It’s not the drag potential haters want it to be. If those fat, nasty, non-submissive, ugly non-golden ratio, darkbutt, hairhats are doing all that with those odds against them…then they are a force of nature. It really is black girl magic.
:wow: :salute:
