Wiggins will never have to worry about being as bad as Kwame was. He's already showed too much potential to suggest that he will be a bust. His numbers are impressive and his shooting percentage is higher then 40 percent too. There is next too no way that at the least he wont be a 20 5 and 5 type player in a year or two.

What are y'all talking about? Wiggins is exceeding expectations right now.
he really isn't.

It's not that he out and out sucks (all things considered, he's one of the better players in this rookie class which says more about this rookie class but I digress) but he's been ehh. For the most part, he's been unimpressive. Is it understandable? Of course. He's 19 years old without the most important developmental tool on the court to help him (that being Rubio, but don't tell the rest of the board that). The biggest knock on Wiggins isn't even the lack of a killer instinct (he never had this, so why be surprised he lacks this at 19?). it's the fact that he does absolutely nothing besides score in the 3rd quarter. He doesn't pass, he doesn't rebound, he doesn't fill up a stat sheet. That's troublesome. When someone has to keep putting their foot up your ass trying to tell you how good you can be, it speaks to confidence issues only he can fix.

He shows flashes. Woopty-do. I would hope so. It will be more impressive when those flashes lead to victories and that goes for everyone in that situation.

If he averages 13 on 42% shooting, take it. I've been saying that all season. If he didn't make first team, that's not gonna be surprising either. As far as I'm concerned he's not gonna learn shyt til the end of the year at the earliest, definitely next year. All we can surmise is that he's a budding sidekick which isn't the worst thing in the world. They're not gonna kill him if he's not a superstar. The only person left who has those expectations is lil ol @Eye Cue 182 which is bizarre as fukk. In the meantime, he's gonna go through it. shyt, I'm glad Flip's letting him make those mistakes. Change his name to Shabazz Muhammad and he'd be riding pine, but again I digress.

Anthony Davis, Paul George, even Kobe needed a couple of years before they really broke out. And how many years were Alonzo and Iverson at Georgetown? At least 2-3 years right? Wiggins is suffering from media hype if anything

What media hype? The league doesn't know he exists, and won't know that for a long time.

If you seen any of Wiggins in college you would have just cast him as a 3 and D player. He's proven to be more than that, he's shown to be a much better player than he was in Kansas, which is why I've said he's exceeding expectations. He's playing great defense and being aggressive on offense, and both of which are things I didn't expect from him at all.

He's pretty much made the most of the role that Minnesota's given him, and you can't be too mad at him for that. He's better and more effective than most of the role players in the NBA right now, which goes to show that he's a standout talent. Whether or not he will ever be elite is up in the air, but be damn sure that he's doing much more than what the sane NBA fan would have expected from him.

At least he isn't doing what Jabari's doing, which is basically watching his team play, not participating in possessions and trying not to be too aggressive.

His defense isn't great. It's admirable. He makes the same mistakes. You just chalk it up to inexperience and hope he grows in the future. The tools are there. At the very least, he's showing the effort on that end.

As far as his aggressiveness, I vehemently disagree. Granted he's not dealing with pass first guards, but if he needs that rock, he has to be more vocal and everyone says that about him. He's on a team willingly ready to feed him if he wants to score or take over. He doesn't do it enough. There is a way to fix that, and that's gonna be when Rubio comes back. He can put him in high percentage situations where he can develop a rhythm, and from what has been shown if he gets into a zone he can put points up. That's gonna be hard to do when there's a different starting lineup every game.

When he touches the ball he's more than likely to take a shot. That's MUCH more than he used to do in Kansas. He's out there delivering 15+ point games on average, which is respectable considering that he's not a natural alpha dog. He's taking it to the rim and not just pulling up for 3 like he did in college.

He doesn't need to be LeBron, Jordan or Kobe in their early years where he demands over 20 shots a game. He's trying to fit into a system that has a lot of players that want to shoot the ball, when you have guys like K-Mart, Thad Young and Shabazz out there trying to shoot the ball as much as they are, you need to be able to make an impact on games without needing the ball. This is going to be something that separates him from other superstars of the past, if he makes it to that level.

They both got all the measureables and hype coming into the draft, but their games suck :laff:

Wiggins about to be shooting less than 40% from the field despite playing on a team with no expectations to win. They play a wide open offense, and he plays the most minutes on the team.

He is the most non impactful player in a LONG time. Cat just be taking up space on the court to run a play. He doesnt have what it takes to be a real star, and I sense most of you clowns are coming around to that.

I have thought that since he came UK

Boy has no balls
