The elite, meaning people in important positions or from well known families do keep it on the low... On the other hand, you've got these crazy white boys who'll lace a blunt with coke in a public park or just snort a line in front of passing by children... In the black community is different tho... Coke is often associated with crack so the blacks who do use it and are not crackheads tend to keep it in the low also... Of course there are always exceptions.

I know plenty people that are at it and it seems its way more acceptable now than it was 20 years ago. Like someone else said, it used to be a hush hush kinda drug, keep it on the low and all that.

Now u got plenty of movies that are like comedies with people partying and they all start doing coke like its all good. Also go to a bar or club on a Friday, Saturday night and see what's popping in the toilets. Muhf*ckas out there snorting their asses off.

I'm aware that cocaine use has not dropped off. It's still a major Colombian export into the US. As for it being cool, it's the same as the 80s and the 90s. Users and pushers want to create the facade that cocaine use is "pretend" its cool. The stereotype of a crackhead, wasted homeless person isn't the typical coke user.
Users' life always spiral down. At first, they try to "look" like they got it together. They are functional. It takes small steps but their life spirals down as their life starts revolving around getting the next high. Some people, it takes years to hit rock bottom. Others, it takes months.

Back in my day if u did coke u'd be considered a junkie. If u were a cokehead back then u'd get clowned for it.

Now a days seems like its a lot more acceptable. Even in a lot of movies u see guys doing coke and having a great time. That's a recent thing the way I see it. It wasn't promoted the way it is now 10 to 15 years ago.

Yeah I noticed u guys in the US with all those crazy prescription drugs some of u take. Its not the same out here in the UK. I mean, I'm sure some people do it but people f*ck more with street drugs.

I could never understand how people could get addicted to cocaine for recreational purposes.......I did a bump once and all it did was keep me awake and my throat felt a little funny....I hate the feeling of wanting to go to sleep and you can't...I know a drug dealer who sells coke mainly to doctors and other professionals and the main reason why they use it is to keep awake on the job, not on some party bullshyt.
