It seems like young people have been desensitized to drug use in general. The more I look at it, it seems as if the 90s generation is out here not giving a fukk about anything. I was hanging out with some of my homeboys after a long hiatus and these dudes are talking about popping molly now

I think a big part of the problem in the US is how psychiatrists are so quick to put people on f*cked up medication. That's their answer to everything. Medication. Even putting little kids on strong, f*cked up meds they don't need. Its disgusting.

The era I grew up in(Graduated high school in '97) was the height of "Just Say No" & "D.A.R.E." and all that. Hip Hop was fiercely against all drugs above weed. Amongst my peer group, you were seen as a loser, junkie, crackhead if you did any of those heavy drugs. Also even in the movies, when they showed drug use, it was always in a way that pushed fear & caution against drug use.

Nowadays, coke use in the media is portrayed as very casual & nonchalant. Hip Hip embraces so many different types of drug use also, shyt is a bit different.
