The facts are the facts. These are sales numbers, so there are no masturbating or celebrating, it is what it is. Playstation 4 won again. Now I don't know what is going to happen in November but as we are looking at it right now Xbox is going to stay in 2nd or 3rd place the rest of this generation. I personally think that Sunset Overdrive sold well and probably did really well in bundles, but it doesn't change the fact that the system is going to be 2nd best until Xbox 2.0 comes out. What happened was that Microsoft put out a piss poor plan to sell the system and gimped it from the very beginning.
Adding to the fact that the price for the Xbox One has been dropping ever since it's release. Can you be mad at the consumer for waiting to buy it? It started off at 500 bucks and is down to 350. shyt if the customer waits for Black Friday they will be able to find it for less than that. The thing that is hilarious about this is that Microsoft did this to themselves. Violating the very thing that got them their status with the Xbox 360. They tried to dictate the spending habits of the customer. "You will buy the Kintec", "If you don't like it buy a 360". Even if this is old news they bet that the customer would still buy an Xbox because in their mind nothing could beat it. Now they are playing catch up but the race is over.
Look at the nightmare Ubisoft is having right now. Releasing ACU:Beta version. The game could be GOTY. But they wanted to rush a product to get a jump on the "next-gen" market....look at them now. These video game companies are fukking up. The sales indicate it everytime. Sony and Nintendo are doing something that the other companies need to pay attention and mimic. They are focusing on QUALITY. And if Nintendo keeps it up I think they are going to give Sony problems in the next year.
