Well it sold over a quarter mil in its first week, seems to be on pace to break a mil in a month

And this is with the game being a big unknown to people until recently. I'm talking about if the game was actually any good or not
Sony fanboys were checking for this game, Xbots didn't have insomniac games and didn't know what to expect
After seeing and trying it out, it has a ton of adult humor. Its a very good game and one I will own eventually.

Game has zero buzz. Its a niche title.

You do realize 90% of the games on that chart are multiplatform right? The only single sku on that list is Smash Bros.

If it was a flop what were it's sales numbers? What was it's budget? I'm not saying the game was a flop or wasn't but I sure as hell ain't running my mouth about a top 10 selling individual SKU for the month being a flop either like you just off a glance at a chart.

You're comparing a new IP in a new generation to a new IP from the end of the last generation that sold like 7 million just on the PS3. The story out of your mouth is gonna be the same regardless though. Negative against Microsoft and pro Sony. As for the spinoff Forza game I got Forza 5 and even I didn't buy it.

“July is typically a quiet month for software sales, representing about 5 percent of annual sales,” NPD analyst Liam Callahan said yesterday. “Typically, EA’s NCAA Football launches in July, and [it] often ranks as the top game. As that title is no longer being produced, new launch sales declined steeply — close to 70 percent in July 2014.”

In fact, The Last of Us’s sales were bad enough to offset better-than-expected performances from three of the biggest publishers. Activision’s new game sales at U.S. retail were down 28 percent year over year, which is better than Cowen’s down 38 percent estimate. EA was down 48 percent, which is better than the down 51 percent. And Take-Two beat Cowen’s guidance of down 30 percent by only dropping 21 percent.

Sunset Overdirve charted in a strong month. And the bundles are not counted in NPD. They were continually sold out so we know the game sold well according to Microsofts own expectations.

Same goes with sunset overdrive and other 3rd party Exclsuives on X1.

Devs/pubs care about profit not NPD lists. The games have been very profitable with easier development than if they were on multiple consoles. It's why Xbox continues to get 3rd party exclusives like Tomb Raider 2015
