1. Booth overpaid bums and gave up a bunch of draft capital just to get rid of them. Braun is the only draft pick that panned out. The writing was on the wall when he entered the final year of his deal without an extension heading into the season.

2. Malone refuses to play or develop rookies. He relies too much on the Jokic–Jamal two-man game, doesn’t run plays for anyone else, and runs his veterans into the ground. Multiple players have spoken out about this, even before Booth became the GM. He would’ve been fired a long time ago if he didn’t win that championship.

Nobody should be surprised by this.

Who’s playing devils advocate? You can go search the Luka trade thread to see how I felt about that move in real time. It was a terrible trade. But the Mavs aren’t the first nor will they be the last to make a franchise crippling trade. I don’t think there’s some hidden conspiracy there

As for the second part - Yeah…hence why I specifically said timing in the first post

If you agree the Luka trade is terrible and historically bad, yet you’re spending time not only propping up why they made the trade, but also adding in ‘they won’t be the first or the last’. :comeon: Pretty devils advocate/unnecesarily contrarian to me

And people say ‘thats a whole other story’ about things that haven’t happened or things that are a side topic :heh: It actually happened and that is the actual topic. So thoughts on a non existent scenario aren’t needed

Who propped up anything?

I disagreed that all these moves were the result of some larger NBA conspiracy. It’s dumb teams doing dumb shyt for their own reasons, which is what teams have always been doing throughout the course of history and will continue doing

Jamal is probably done for the rest of the regular season and might not be back for the first round.

Their season is over.

Gotcha. What I’m saying is these moves, the last 3 in particular, within a month of each other, transcend simply ‘dumb’

You seen Casino?? :heh:

3 jackpots in 20 minutes you didn’t see the scam :heh:

I knew Malone was done after that post-game press conference several weeks ago when he basically challenged the heart and professionalism of the team after being so horrendous on defense all season. That's risky to do in today's league because this isn't football or baseball...it's a player run league.

He tried the hard ass approach, and if you watched the last 4 or 5 games he's tried the ultra supportive, always encouraging approach.

The team was still wretched defensively.

So basically punting the season

This league makes no sense bunch of impulsive retards running teams
Nothing impulsive like this and what happened in Dallas ever happens in a league worth trillions

Boy this fukking team sucks :mjlol: doing all of that right before the playoffs, what they couldn't wait for the offseason? They think whatever assistant coaching lineup they have will light them up to victories?

Booth lost key pieces of their championship team and drafted bunch of rookies that Mike Malone refused to gives minutes like Thibbs does on his teams. Booth and Malone are the perfect duo of mediocrity.

Nuggets are exactly like the Bucks. One kinda lucky year where they went through some pretty easy opponents, winning a championship and then followed by bad contract signings and bad coaching decisions making another trip to the finals far away from the possibility.

Now to make the cypher complete, once Doc gets fired by Milwaukee I wanna see Denver signing him up :dead:

Booth didn't give Porter the extension.

Malone probably didn't respect Booth much because he wasn't the architect of the team that won.
