I cannot deny his greatness but the absolute audacity is beyond comprehension

What audacity? Look at how he played defense during the Finals run. He is capable of being average. But he needs his teammates to give a damn of staying in front of their man. It's the least they can do

Watson averaged 11ppg as a starter this season and they were sub-.500 during that time. Literally EVERY player shows flashes at some point, it doesn't mean anything more than that. These guys just arent very good.

Fans of every team calls for their HC's job at some point. People wanted Steve Kerr fired because he wasn't "developing" wiseman. It's the same thing here. Warriors fans been using the Kuminga "consistent minutes" talking point for about 3 seasons now and he's a net negative. He gets numbers, but it doesn't translate to winning. Every fan thinks their young guys are next up, but it's only because they play next to a superstar why they even look decent. These dudes just ain't it.
Rather disingenuous to put that blame on him, which is you’re essentially doing.

This was a five-game stretch they had recently without him -

#25th in defensive rating
#29th in contested shots
#28th in giving up points in the paint
#27th in giving up drives into the paint
#24th in giving up fastbreak points.

That's how bad their defense was without him.

Whatever emphasis cats want to put on what culpability he has, the issue is more to do with their overall personnel and scheme.

I know TheColi likes getting at the low-hanging fruit, but in the possessions you see Denver at that end of the floor, he's constantly marshaling the troops to be in the right position, calling out opposition offensive plays before they unfold and making sure communication is always high. There's a lot more to defense than just blocking shots at the rim, which on that topic, if the perimeter defenders can't keep their men in front of them, you can't expect him to pick up unnecessary fouls when they need him to stay on the floor.

nikkas talking about “development” like strawther, Pickett and Watson are supposed to be all-stars

They’re ass. They been ass for years. It’s not malone’s fault they are ass. They get the minutes, they’re just not that good
Yeah people blaming Malone for the offense looking bad without Jokic but whenever I watch Denver bench play outside of Russ and Braun I'm like
