The only way this is possible is if they're counting the amount of people listened to it on OVO sound when it droppped. Facts.

If this is true they really need to go back and change the streaming rules.

"I'm broke and bought something at the store and they had an error. Apple conspiracy!"

Not broke but ok. The conspiracy lies in that every label has always inflated the numbers, and they've never had the ability to inflate the numbers the way Apple does right now. They are the exclusive distributor of Apple music's main asset, and they distribute a digital product, why would they not inflate the numbers like every other label has always done for major artists?

I don't care what anyone says, there is no disputing Drake is running the game.

The only other artist putting these numbers up are Adele and Taylor Swift.:whoo:

Definitely no disputing Drake's running the game, I just think the numbers are heavily inflated. I think every major artists' numbers are inflated though so it's not really a big deal. I think Cole and others that have dropped out of nowhere took their marketing money and bought up albums by themselves. This is just a unique situation because the artist is signed to a major deal with the company the is exclusively distributing the music and it's only available digitally so it would theoretically be pretty easy to pull off. No physical product to produce or account for.

Not really. Anyone who can't separate their feelings about him being a fraud from the fact that he's the biggest hip hop artist in music is only playing themselves.

it is absolutely a crossover record and it was pop. It got play on rock stations because it was that pop/rapcore/punk crossover shyt that was hot in 1999. If you're 27, you were in middle school (barely) when this shyt came out. You really can't speak on it (respectfully).

shyt barely got played in hip hop circles so you can't even say it was a mainstream rap record. This wasn't Hypnotize.

The same way y'all attempt a rewrite on Em's 'humble real hip hop' beginnings is gonna be the same way Drake stans will do. "when Drake came out he was spitting real and taking hip hop to another level, then he went pop" :mjlol:

Views?

shyt's :trash:

any real hip hop fan would tell you that Em is more organically a hip hop artist than Drake, yea MTV and all these other mainstream outlets were playing My Name Is on their channels, shyt even BET had Em's music videos on rotation. we all know why Drake's all over the place, it's because of his Jewish background. plus Jimmy Iovine invested money in him.
