NY and NJ heads, what's it like to live around/deal with "Italians"?

I work in Staten Island alot for my job, so I see them alot

They seem very loyal to their culture. What I do admire is that their upfront and not passive aggressive.... But Idk what it is, but something is off about them

I've never lived in the Northeast so I don't find myself around then very often even tho they have quite a rep. If in not mistaken the only ones I've ever interact with are this chick that way my old roommate's sister in law. She was beautiful... Talked a lot of the typical Italian shyt talk (per movies and TV) about being "connected" blah blah . We hung out together got drinks at this bar and I wanted to fukk but I had no shot whatsoever.
The other is this cat I'm cool with who's an engineer for CableVision/Optimum when I spent time working in NY a few months on a project. I'm assuming he's Italian due to his lastname.

Jersey breh here, they cool at arms reach, in the Jerz/Philly area they are your typical Jersey Shore Guidos who act just like Tommy from Power and that is most young bull Italians....

Not true. These Latinos are not filling out applications or census reports stating they black. Why would they? In their native countries they treat blacks like shyt and in some cases genocide of blacks. So to say they identify as blacks is ludicrous.

You see it that way because you live here. Go to other countries that would be considered more cultured than white americans and you'll see how they admire some of the aspects of this culture-less culture of white americans. I seen plenty of it in South and Central America

Then again what is the culture of white Americans? It depends on what part of the country they are from. They are from the Northeast it's most likely Irish types. If they are from the southwest it's most likely British /native American style blend. I'm not an expert on this but I'm just guessing based on what I see and what I know as their origins.

If you're so quick to dismiss their culture then do African Americans have culture? Do Haitians have culture? Do Jamaicans have culture? Who has culture? That the culture that you speak of, what validates a culture is what I'm trying to get at. Because I remember a discussion I had with some African American women that I met at Kizomba parties and they were so enamored with Kizomba and other african dances and they were saying that they, as in African Americans " have no culture". Whereas from where I stand African Americans have plenty of culture.

This is not me caping. I'm just being objective because when I used to live in Haiti we often used to hear that Haitians have no culture ourselves..and this was from both other haitians and foreigners. It's here that I find out that Haitians DO HAVE "culture".
