NYC brehs, did Dyckman replace Rucker park when it comes to summer league?

Between 97 to about 04ish, I use to fukk with the Rucker heavy. But as people in here have said, it got a lil too commercial towards the mid 00's with the different sponsors, etc. The last time I checked a game over there was back in like '10 and the vibe wasn't the same. Nowadays, I usually take my son back n forth between Dyckman and Branch Brook park here in Newark for the summer games.

Dyckman is currently the most live part of Manhattan. shyt is getting gentrified like crazy, but they still have a strip and an active nightlife that is very enticing during the summer. shyt has you like, leaving at 5:00 AM

Nightlife and access to exotic weed is definitely why Dyckman is up rn. I don't think it has anything to do with corporate sponsors because the Nikes and Hot 97's got their handprints on all this shyt nowadays.

Nikkas could watch the games then go get lit afterwards theres nothing really around Rucker Park. Dyckman just got more energy and a better relationship with players and personalities, Rucker got more of an old head vibe as far as the organizers. Dave East even did his "Found A Way" and "KD" videos right in the park.

In what sense? Are you even from NY to imply any of that? Rucker isn't as easily accessible as Dyckman is and it doesn't have the luxury of having bars and lounges all over the place. shyt Heights,South BX, & Dyckman are pretty much their own burrough this point.

1. Rucker Park is on 155th and 8th Ave. Hamilton Heights section of Harlem, aka The Hill or as Jim Jones would say "Lil DR” separated from Washington Heights by blocks. It's a mixed Dominican and AA hood, so what you implying don't even make sense.

2. Many Dominicans are black some are c00ns some aren’t and Dyckman League is ran by an AA and the Dominican guy whose the visible face is dark skinned. It’s also across the street from Dyckman Projects where most of the AA’s who live in Inwood reside.

3. Rucker isn’t down because of “exotical light skin thots” or any corny shyt y’all Coli militants got to say. Dyckman has a younger crowd and better relationships in hoops and entertainment in present day. Dyckman has a nightlife scene, maybe Rucker would if it was located closer to 125th.
