Im surprised the NBA hasnt spun up a street ball league to compete with Big 3. Build some parks in a few major cities that dont have em which would be a tax write off and then do a nation wide streetball league

1. Rucker Park is on 155th and 8th Ave. Hamilton Heights section of Harlem, aka The Hill or as Jim Jones would say "Lil DR” separated from Washington Heights by blocks. It's a mixed Dominican and AA hood, so what you implying don't even make sense.

2. Many Dominicans are black some are c00ns some aren’t and Dyckman League is ran by an AA and the Dominican guy whose the visible face is dark skinned.

3. Rucker isn’t down because of “exotical light skin thots” or any corny shyt y’all Coli militants got to say. Dyckman has a younger crowd and better relationships in hoops and entertainment in present day. Dyckman has a nightlife scene, maybe Rucker would if it was located closer to 125th.

That whole area is crazy because of how accessible it is and how willing these hoes are to make the trip. You have Jersey, BX, Heights, Dyckman, Harlem (1 and A) all in the same place and 90% of people there are just trying to buy weed, smoke hookah or chill.

Still, it is being gentrified, so be wary of hating-ass cacs who wanna call the cops.

I remember the summer someone complained about the noise and stuff (some shooting nearby IIRC) from the park so they cut the lights off for the summer, so once the sun set it was over (so the early games were empty and the players were baking in that sun). The whole park at one point took out their cell phones to give the players some light to get this OT game in. Basically with the agreement that the 34th precinct would be outside the park they got the lights back in time for the playoffs.

Everyone’s aware of the gentrification that’s coming, but Dyckman Park is an asset.

It’s not organic and the NBA fukks with these streetball leagues (some of them anyway), so they agree that players can’t get in trouble for playing in those select leagues.

All those traveling leagues like Big 3, what’s left of those And1 players, those Nike sponsored battle of the boroughs, Dyckman fukks with all of them.

What’s popping in LES? I use to work there when I was a teen and hated that area.

But the nightlife there is A1 and there is a good food scene.

Not even. All of a sudden, nightlife comes into play when talk about Rucker Park and Dyckman and basketball games. Its-other-reason is clear, but people are hellbent on not revealing it.
