I wanna visit but I already know I couldn't live there. Don't like the gun laws and to many ppl. I would feel claustrophobic and my anxiety would make me go crazy. I would love to just skate around and shred some NYC spots. Are the Brooklyn banks still there? @1984

Its only Claustrophobic in manhattan there are plenty of spaces you don't see people for blocks... :dahell: NYC is more than just manhattan

Finding that empty seat on a crowded train :ahh:

Looking around and seeing half of the people around you like :mjlol: and the other half like :scusthov:

And then realizing that the only reason that seat was empty was cuz a homeless person just got off the train :shaq2:

That one open seat on a crowded train. People getting on looking at it like:patrice:

People looking back at them like :mjpls:or:usure:or avoiding eye contact all together:dame:

The realization on their face when it hits them that a bum sat there. :martin:

Motherfukkas ain't going to tell me a bum was sitting here:upsetfavre::leostare::stopitslime:

People: Nope:skip:

The ones that say fukk it,:noah: I'm too tired to give a shyt:to::yeshrug:

The look of pity :francis:and disgust from the onlookers when and if they do sit:scust:

But that's how it starts by fracturing the neighborhood they already renamed parts of harlem and the bronx to make it more appealing to the fukking hipsters... That's how it starts.... Its been jamaica for years lets leave it that way... :stopitslime:
That is my point. Why do you think all the cats in BK flip out with all of these hipster ass names for parts of ENY? Its the harbinger of things to come.

Saying you're on the ave or going to the ave refers to the general area. It doesn't specifically mean only Jamaica Avenue. How you gonna tell me about my neighborhood b? It's usually The Ave followed by where you're going, or it can specifically mean The Ave around the coliseum block.

For example:
"Yo I need to catch the train from the ave."

The train stops are not actually on the Jamaica ave. The last two stops are parsons or hillside. You see how that works?
well yeah there's a lot of bullshyt names that developers come up with, and I hope they don't catch on. What names are they trying to push in ENY now?

nah lol I'm not trying to tell you anything, but you specifically mentioned Jamaica Ave originally which is why I was confused. Are you saying you'd refer to Parsons and Archer as "the ave"?

I've said this 1000 times to my homeboy and he told me I needed to travel and seen the rest of the country.

Yeah. NO. The rest of the country is basically Long Island breh, and little variations of it based on the terrain.
even worse, most of the country is pure bumblefukk

but there are other major cities that are cool to check out at least

I enjoyed LA when I was out there and I can't wait to go back. It's like your favorite TV show, you know it's not real but you enjoy it anyways.

I hated Philly when I was there but I appreciate it now. It's a really good college city if that makes sense. Shame it's getting gentrified as well.

Going to Atlanta for a few days in about a month or two so I'll report back on that

I promised a homie I would go to Boston once if only for the food

I want to check out LA so bad, and the Bay Area too. Cali in general sees chill.

I love Philly to be honest, it's not quite like NYC but it's the closest thing I've experienced so far. It has a lot of soul too, if that makes sense.

I think the Piano District for Port Morris has to be the worst one yet.

And yeah those acronym names suck, they have no flavor. I'll only ever accept the original ones like SoHo.

I'm definitely going to the Bay VERY soon. The same friend who keeps busting my balls to go to Boston has fam out in The Bay and he goes there a lot. He says it's extremely chill and it's like it's own little world out there. It's like the NE where it has the seasons and shyt but the people a way laid back and more personable.

I'ma gonna go ahead and add Seattle and Frisco to the list of places I want to go to as well :ehh:

I went down to Melbourne, FL a few weeks ago. One of my long time friend's pops was turning 80 so a bunch of us went down to celebrate and kick it for the week.

Dog...there's NOTHING out there. Melbourne, Palm Bay, Palm Beach, Cocoa Beach. There's nothing out there but strip malls, Wal-Marts, and places to eat.

And it's like that upstate NY, it's like that in PA once you go past Philly, it's like that in Jersey, it's like that in Maryland, that's all this fukking country is.

A few dope mega cities, a few little brother cities, and then uncultured, boring ass, burbs.

Yeah your house cost 30K? Cool what exactly is there to do out there? Oh Netflix and local chain restaurants? :stopitslime:

I won't front tho...I kinda got out of control at Sonny's in Palm Bay...them all you can eat ribs set me back about a weeks worth of cardio :wow:

Travel overseas. Or in black cities like ATL, DC, or Houston. FL is weak and too many NYers are there. Going overseas is a :blessed: experience. God made the world to explore, not to reside in one area.

I just got back from up there this weekend, had to take my wife up there to see her uncle who's real sick with stomach cancer. We had enough time to hit some of our food spots (no Flor de Mayo this time :sadcam:) but our last night I had a taste for a beef pattie with cheese and sausage. So as we was driving back to our hotel in LIC, I stopped off at one of my spots on Bushwick Ave and Montrose, right next to the train station. The spot had changed a lot since I had been in there; and you could see they changed with all the hipsters that live there now; they expanded the back to be a little sit down restaurant/bar, and the slices were now $2.75 :wtf: And while me and wifey are sitting there waiting for our order, I see this hipster and his broad come in pick up their order, and before son sits down he asks for a KNIFE AND FORK.... I couldn't help but stand there looking at him like :scust: It was like everything about what went wrong with the city encapsulated.
