I'm not watching these bums this year. I have barely watched them in the past 3 years anyways.

Hal Steinbrenner and Brian Trashman are cheap and useless. They're going to continue being this way unless Yankees fans punish them (stop buying merchandize/memorabilia, stop attending games, stop watching Yankees games on TV, etc) - but that's not going to happen.

ZERO pennants and WS titles in last 10 years is pathetic for the Yankees. Meanwhile, the Red Sox have 2 WS titles, the Astros have a WS title, Dodgers have a WS title, the Rays have an AL pennant, the Mets have an NL pennant, etc in the last 10 years.

How do you guys feel about the Twins Correa signing for $35 mil per after they traded you guys Donaldson's $25 mil and Kiner-Falefa's $5 per season? Is it addition by subtraction just getting rid of Sanchez?
The thing about Correa is, he's going to take a slight hit leaving Houston to play in Minnesota. And you have to consider the investment.

Last year, Correa had an adjusted runs created of 134. Josh Donaldson posted 124. Yeah you'd give the edge to Correa, but it's not massive.
The WAR value is much higher on Correa last season because, well, he's a very good defender and Donaldson isn't. Correa at 5.8 to 2.2 for Donaldson.

This season, Correa projects for a 125 adjusted runs created and 4.6 WAR. Donaldson projects for 131 and 3.7.

Sure. You'd rather have Correa. But the Yankees are only committing 50 million to Donaldson vs the 100 million (potentially) that Minnesota committed to Correa.
It's also HIGHLY LIKELY that Correa would have never taken a 3 year deal from the Yankees. He probably wanted a CC Sabathia type deal, where it would have been a 7 or 8 year contract with the option to opt out after 3, which would have given him far more security. If he's hurt or he sucks, he just opts in. And the Yankees probably weren't comfortable being on the hook for potentially 280 million dollars if the deal went bad.

I'm in the minority here but I think the Yankees absolutely made the right call to pass on Correa right now.
I'll admit that I would have been much more open to giving that money to Seager, if I absolutely HAD to pick someone from this FA class.

“That’s my job every year, to make sure that we’re financially responsible,” Steinbrenner said. “I’ve got a lot of partners and banks and bondholders and things like that that I answer to. But at the same time, it’s always the goal to win a championship.”

Hal is a fukking joke.

Then I saw this figure and it really just makes you laugh about them crying poor about the pandemic.

Nothing will change since Hal doesn't care enough to fire Cashman. These other GM's are playing chess while he's playing checkers.
260 million and they have holes everywhere.

A CF who is always hurt.
Cole and a bunch of mediocre pitchers in the rotation.
Whoever the catcher is will be garbage offensively.

It’s going to weird for me not working at the Stadium anymore, but it will be nice to watch or listen to the home games at my place for a change lol. Yea, hard to get a real feel on what to expect. Rays will be solid again and Blue Jays are definitely contenders to be the best team in AL period. Yankees will be a playoff team, just a question can they at least get to the ALCS.

what did you do at the stadium?

It’s just weird not having been there to see a game since before covid. Thinking about a few games this year but this roster is looking very iffy. I miss the stadium but not them stadium prices for food/drink
