Where the Yankees screwed up was not tryna sign him sooner like other teams have with their guys,

Pretty much. I know everyone hates the front office/ownership (I do as well) but the offer is more than fair. Unfortunately for him he just didn't come up through the minors young enough and it fukked up his potential payout. I say trade him at the deadline but I know that isn't popular.
