Lol. I don't mean take away cops guns period. I mean have armed response units like they do in the uk. Making it impossible for the cop to even draw without knowing for sure that the suspect had a weapon.

Fact is the reason america has more gun crime is because of lax gun laws. People who are pro second amendment rights will have you believe that criminals are somehow importing guns into the united states. Fact is most of the guns on the street were legal guns that were attained through straw purchases. If they ban guns americas gun crime rate will probably match the uks in less than 25 years.

I'm gonna ask you a serious question. Do you think it is logical to apply something that works in the UK to the USA?

Also what do you plan to put into place to keep illegal guns from flooding the streets since the vast majority of what's out there now is all legal? We are dealing with troublemakers with a disregard of the law and you propose a law based measure as a fix. Surely you have something proactive in mind to address what will end up becoming a big issue.

They still have circumstances where they can have access to them while the populace does not. My viewpoint still stands. It isn't even really about a love of guns. I own one but don't love it. I hope to never have to use it on a human being. And because I actually spend time here in the States and talk to other gun owners here, I can confidently say that I am not the only one that feels that way. When you get all of your viewpoints from the agenda pushing media you don't know any better and it's easy to make every gun owner into some bullet lusting madman.

These types of occurrences suck but they aren't new. They just get more coverage due to social media allowing faster access to information. Our gun laws have gotten progressively tougher over the years(the agenda driven media refuses to acknowledge this). I don't support a full blown ban and personally, I feel for you guys in the UK. History tells us that the situation the UK is in won't end well for the populace.

There is nothing that lights up an oppressor's eyes like an unarmed populace. The gun control debate usually misses the point because at the end of the day criminals don't give a shyt about the law anyway. An armed populace that can defend itself vs those who are supposed to protect the peace will cause these morons to think twice. Sadly the docile fukkers here in NY are more focused on Black Friday that turning up over what clearly was a bad shoot by this officer. Its insane that being "startled" is justification for whatever as long as a badge is involved. From what I understand, these officers who patrol staircases in housing projects are allowed to walk up and down the stairs with guns already drawn if they feel like it. shyt is bugged out breh.
