So long as the American way of life relies on the exploitation of resources from underdeveloped countries...we really have no right to exclude people from those countries from entering....for better or worse :manny:

Nonsensical. It’s like ole boy that got murdered at Waffle House for not buying dude food. It didn’t matter that he bought multiple people’s food that night. He did a good thing for a lot of people but he got killed because someone there was mad that he ain’t get his free meal too. Maybe homie ain’t have enough to pay for them. Maybe he just wanted to pay for the people he chose. It’s kinda like that. Immigration is for countries to ensure they give bright and ambitious people the chance to come to America. To keep our workforce competitive with people from diverse backgrounds but we get to choose how many and who comes. When people storm into our country they’re taking that decision away from us and if left unchecked it will be a strain on our resources. I know it’s fashionable to make posts like yours on the Coli but the REAL WORLD IMPLICATIONS of your passive position means hundreds of thousands or millions of hungry people flooding our doors every year or two breh. They taking our kindness for wanting to give some immigrants a better life for granted by saying we breaking in regardless. Supporting that is foolish. The focus should be on fixing the lawlessness and poverty in their countries because we can’t accept all of the worlds migrants regardless of whatever garbage @Call Me James posts.

You heard what I said.
It made very little sense.

Regardless - do you feel that poor Americans are deserving of some of what the wealthiest 5% of Americans have? If not, fine, we disagree. If so, why exactly is it "nonsensical" to apply that logic on a global scale?

What you’re saying doesn’t make sense. I mean, it sounds cute on a message board. In reality you’re saying we should open our borders to the every poor person this side of the Atlantic. That’s super stupid. Do you even think about what that would look like in real life? And for your comparison that would be the difference between taxing rich people a fair share (legal immigration) and killing all rich people French Revolution style (unchecked open borders).

No argument. Troll harder. Does nothing to me breh :yeshrug:

I’m stealing that Jimmy Butler smiley too.
You quoted me making a strawman.

In this thread I have stated that Trump's policies have created the crisis outlined in the article.it's an irrefutable fact.

:yeshrug:

Good luck finding a post of mine advocating for open borders. You won't.

:Bucketsumad:

Want me to clean it up for you? Give you the larger original?

My point was actually that Americans should stop living so wastefully.
Unimaginable, I know...

I have little interest in looking cute on a message board.

Then what’s all the hostility for? I’m for immigration. We need a constant stream of smart young people to keep our economy going. I’m simply saying we need bouncers at the door to control who and how much.

Yes.

The article is about increasing backlog. These are people who are caught and arrested as the result of functioning system.

As discussed in the article the current administration is using rhetoric to increase the flow of immigrants into the US while at the same time. Not appointing the necessary staff to process them in a timely manor whether that be for deportation or asylum.

The end result is Trump complaining about immigration when he's done nothing to stem the issue whether through action or inaction and he seems happy about it because he feels this manufactured crisis is a winning election issue for him and that is all that really seems to matter. :francis:
