NYTimes admits. Immigration at the border is a huge problem and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Thats....not what I said at all.
Enough Coli for me tonight....
your positions are all stupid because if enough illegals came in, and migrants showed up wanting asylum, there would eventually be a point where you had no choice but to admit the other side is right :dead:

Interesting how bold you're being considering you very clearly aren't understanding me.

is that post true? yes or no. and thats a real simple question
Yes, its true. Open borders or something close would be detrimental to the standard of living for many Americans. My point, though, is that the standard of living for most Americans is predicated on the exploitation of resources and labor from many of the countries where these migrants are coming from. As such, regardless of how strict (re: brutal) your border policy, they're still going to come. How far are you willing to go to "secure the border"? Machine gun turrets? Drone strikes? There's a reason people will risk so much to get here, and its larger than "Dems are stupid lol" - which seems to be your only point here.

To your previous post, I'm not suggesting migrants are coming with hopes of getting what the wealthiest 5% percent of Americans have. I'm saying, on a global scale, nearly all Americans are the wealthy 5%, mostly at the expense of the 95%. It's the same reason why I have a hard time taking seriously well-to-do Americans arguing for wealth distribution in America while completely ignoring their relative wealth on a global scale. There's a reason why Socialism is internationalist...its seem American Socialists are still basically nationalists who are picking and choosing from Socialist doctrine only in instances where it benefits them. But, hey, that's the American way I suppose.

So, no, there's no answer that Americans are willing to accept. I suspect both parties will keep using this issue as a political football to score points in polls, though.

ive never said that illegal immigration is the biggest problem facing this country, it's not even close. but for a lot of people, it IS a problem. and it's not "racist" to say that :dead:

i didnt say dems are stupid. i said their leadership cares more about cornering the hispanic voting bloc by catering to illegals, than protecting the interests of people who are already here

We are the wealthiest nation in the world, and to say we don't have money or space is not only inaccurate it is immoral, but such is this country. Why can't we just help them all, in whatever limited fashion?
But why limit it to just Mexicans and South Americans? Just because they live within walking of our border? There are billions of poor and suffering people across the world, so why don't we just take them all? :camby:

You guys really don't get basic economic concepts like supply and demand. Why do you think housing is so expensive? Why do you think finding a decent paying job is so difficult? America is at 325 million people already and you think we should just open the flood gates and let anybody and everybody come as they please. The country has enough people.

So long as the American way of life relies on the exploitation of resources from underdeveloped countries...we really have no right to exclude people from those countries from entering....for better or worse :manny:
:what:
Please provide some examples of how the American way of life supposedly relies on the exploitation of resources from underdeveloped countries.

Housing isn't expensive because of illegal immigrants who likely couldn't afford these gentrified homes or towering apartment complexes that have under 50% occupancy.

You clearly do not understand basic economics.

Of course illegal immigrants aren't the ONLY reason for expensive housing dumbass. But they are part of the reason and you seem to think introducing even more demand and competition into an already congested market is a good idea.
