True. My major gripe with Obama is that he didn't try or promote the legislation that would have helped us. Most if not all of it would have gotten struck down, but I felt like he should have made the effort.

Making the effort puts it into the conversation and builds momentum towards something happening down the line.

Reparations in terms of distribution of funds to individuals will never happen, never. But funds dedicated to the improvement of impoverished black communities from a educational and business standpoint has a shot.

Instead of a handout, I feel we'd be better off with a package of investments into the black community and legit opportunities for us to develop businesses and institutions.
