I was just thinking about this today. There is 1.1 trillion in student debt out there. This years graduation class owed $33,000 in loans on average.


There is no length that the worst generation in this country a.k.a the Baby Boomers will go to squeeze every last penny out of the younger generations.
shyt is sickening. I really feel bad for Millennials. Get saddled with soul crushing debt in order to earn a college degree that was promised to lead to better pay only to find out that the selfish ass Baby Boomer generation won't vacate jobs cause they squandered all their money and now can't afford to retire.

This is life in a nutshell. I have ~78000 left in debt with my MBA and Bachelors. I teach part time for a college, I wonder if I can get in on that teaching shyt.

If we diverted even a small fraction of our "war" budget this issue would be over in a decade.

I REALLY do think certain degrees *cough* STEM *cough*, bolstered through GPA requirements, should get loan preference in terms of lower tuition fees AND better interest rates.

nothing really. Cause theres no incentive for schools to stop taxing folks on guaranteed loans.

Schools only charge that much BECAUSE THEY CAN.

Note that it also says it makes it easier for people to get loans. That could end up hurting some so its not all gravy.

Man, what sucks is that theres two ways to look at this:

1. Either all education is subsidzed

2. Not everyone gets to qualify for loans.

Cause if we go with (2) then it gets harder to just openly charge EVERYONE for going to school.

None of this changes what schools will throw on your back.
