I agree...but then find a way to keep tuition rates from going up every year and, instead, make them go down significantly. The burden needs to be put more on the institutions than the students.
Start declining loans and the costs will drop. Getting a big ass loan that you know you wont be able to pay off to pursue a soft science is a bad idea all around. Unless your parents can foot that bill...there's no reason to saddle yourself with that kind of debt.
In a perfect world that makes sense (accounting and finance reasons)...but I dont think that would be enough to make Uni's lower tuition significantly. If anything, it'll give them more confidence in the rates they currently have because itll be easier for students to "pay" it.
I could fukk your entire world view up if you really want me to.Sorry, that's just ignorant.
1. Defense spending needs to be high. We can DEFINITELY cut though.how about we fukking divert the 500 billion in tax dollars we spend on defense (imperialism) to giving our nation free education?
We need to subsidize SOME types of education. We are cutting off our legs at the knees as a country by not subsidizing higher education more than we already do. We are pinching pennies instead of heavily investing in our workforce. A country as wealthy as America, should not be saddling its young with 10s of thousands in loans just to attain a degree, especially in an economy that constantly requires higher and higher levels of education just to get a decent paying job.
This is going to come to bite us in the ass in years to come.
I don't want excuses. I want my tax dollars to go to funding free public colleges and the professors salaries. You act like it's going to cost a trillion dollars to send everyone to college for free. Cut defense by 15% and you'd most likely have enough. If countries of lesser stature can PAY their citizens to go to college at the very least we can make it free for our citizens of this country.1. Defense spending needs to be high. We can DEFINITELY cut though.
2. The government just can't shift dollars and get the same impact. Education isn't something MONEY just fixes innately.

Why do you think institutions charge so much?I agree...but then find a way to keep tuition rates from going up every year and, instead, make them go down significantly. The burden needs to be put more on the institutions than the students.
I don't carebreh you sound like youre running for 6th grade class president with these types of statements.
OK. So ask for higher taxes. Cause we pay some of the least taxes of any of these countries you're championing.I don't want excuses.
