Why do you think institutions charge so much?
Think critically about this.
HINT: Think student loans
Whats your point?

well guess what, if education didn't cost 50 grand we wouldn't need to take out federal loans and we could avoid all this bullshyt.OK. So ask for higher taxes. Cause we pay some of the least taxes of any of these countries you're championing.
Stop offering easy loans to everyone and this problem goes away too.
If students HAVE to pay the loans back, what incentive to colleges have to lower prices?Whats your point?
1. Defense spending needs to be high. We can DEFINITELY cut though.

False dichotomy. One oing down doesn't help the other.I don't want higher taxes, I want defense spending to be reduced because its fukking ABSURD.
Why does this money have to come from defense? See how you've just accepted that argument in ONLY that form?Shift defense spending to education and free public colleges.
I can quote Gandhi too. What your point?"A nation that continues year after year
to spend more money on military defense
than on programs of social uplift
is approaching spiritual death."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

@ you know who with the oversized, all caps responses.I wanna say that I'm IN FAVOR of a USA led hegemony. cause in 20 years ya'll are gonna realize why the US flexed as hard as we did up to that point. Someone needs to be on top and I'd rather it be us.No it does not. That's an archaic Cold War type of thinking. Before WW2, our standing army was maybe 100,000 people at the most. We decided to become the world's policemen after WW2 due to Europe constant infighting and the threat of the Soviets. In all honesty, from a global stability perspective you can make an argument(I don't buy it), that it was the right thing to do.
Have you been asleep all of 2014? The Soviet Union is basically back. Its not under the veil of communism at this point, but just Russian influence. All the ex-states are basically waiting for CIA and FSB operations to come to a boil and we get all the juicy secrets of the fukkery taking place at this point. But it's now 2014, Europe is more interlocked than ever and the Soviet Union no longer exists. I think we can drastically reduce our Military spending and still be the most powerful nation on Earth. That money can then be used to invest in our people.
No argument there. But don't diminish the threat of a divided Europe on world stability.Unfortunately, we can't even have that conversation due to fear mongering power of special interests.
