Yes it does make sense, otherwise some states would never raise it (which must be done to track inflation). Most states choose to institute a higher minimum wage which is reflective of their respective economies....the federal government just sets the bare minimum. I don't see why this is so hard for some to understand.
What if it were required by the States to have a minimum wage that coincides with it's cost of living?
And I didn't say I didn't understand it. I'm just saying some "reform" may be in order for this particular subjects. Raising it to $9 across the board is only on piece of it, imo.
