He's doing this for polticial points. The new congress just started, the Dems took an L and the State of the Union is coming up. Our Parties do this all the time; purpose hugely popular but extremely unlikely bill while knowing full well it will get shot down. (fre education in America ) He trynna make these new Rethugs look out to be as dysfunctional as the last batch. Dems are just loading ammo for the next election.

If we ever get any form commie learning/healthcare that most the First World has, it wont start from the top.

some people do use college admission as a form of welfare though...like my folk who sign up to go to university of phoenix or kaplan just to get a financial aid check and then they drop out after a semester or two after taking out 20,000 in loans and receiving maximum pell grant money

it happens at community colleges as well ive worked at both type of institutions I know the game. Its a moot point though because this proposal wont even get to the floor for voting in either the house or senate
