I had a bad feeling on election day when my friend, who lives in Detroit, texted me and said nobody was at his polling booth that morning; this compared to it being packed all morning/afternoon/evening during the Obama elections. Hillary had to run up the score in major population areas like that to overcome the rural onslaught Trump commanded. If you look at the vote totals you can see the clear decline from 2012 to 2016 in those areas, as well in university/college areas. I am NOT blaming this on black people btw...pretty sure even if she matched Obama's 2012 numbers with blacks, she would have still loss because she did so much worse with whites than Obama.

Think about that. The black dude did better with white people. Twice. Which is why I keep saying white people got us into this mess and white people will get us out...and if not, we're fukked. Sad to see a lot of 2020 candidates running the same Hillary playbook and having next to no message for the midwest. You want to beat Trump? Take back MI/WI/PA. Trump's tariff policy has resulted in his popularity tanking in those states, but democrats still need to go overboard to appeal to those people IMO.
