I'm not sure if that's true or not, but it doesn't change the fact that Trump was basically backlash against him.

Trump literally spent years spouting lies about Obama not being a US citizen and ran on a platform of undoing everything he did in office.


I'm not sure it's completely Hillary's fault, but regardless I can understand why Obama would take him being elected as an insult to his legacy.

Obama taking it personally just shows as smart as he is he still underestimates racism and over estimates how well he and his policies were liked. I think David Cameron said he thought Obama was pretty vain. This comment kinda reflects that.

I forgot where it was but Obama talked to his staff at the WH about "why aren't our policies popular?" and it just seemed so out of touch.
