There are A LOT of fat white people in this country. Probably more when you look at the total numbers. So idk what you're really talking about.

Fact is if you eat like shyt and don't exercise, you're gonna get fat regardless of race.
i know that. you aint schooling me. middle of america and the south has all the fat white people. the coasts are all the skinny white folks that diet all the time. people in the south/ midwest eat hardier? do you know why? its tradition. do you know why? because these people were farming, coal miners, doing all sorts of stuff out in the wild(catching animals to turn them into meat, etc). you need to eat a lot to carry you through the day if thats your long day with all that activity(energy being spent).

the problem is once those jobs started drying up do to innovation and technologies. people now go to work and put their feet under a desk for 8 hours or more. thats sitting for 8 hours. that aint healthy no matter how you slice it. with eating right and exercise. its still not healthy to sit all day like that. this is another cause for the obesity problems among other things.

do you know how difficult it is to eat right in the hood? even the food you buy from your local market is filled up with sugars. and i aint talking sweets. you can work out a lot. doesnt matter. if your body shouldnt have all those carbs. sugars. you wont burn them all off in a normal workout. people drive a lot more now to commute to work. since there are less jobs and more people. this means less walking. less walking means more sitting. bad news again. more weight gain, less energy spent. you were thin when you were young because you played outside all the time and you walked every where until you were about 20 or so. you was either walking or riding a skateboard/bike. to a friends house. to the local liquor store, grocery store, grandmamas house, etc.

now you drive around the corner.

Yea

There putting stuff in black people's food
no they are putting stuff in all americans food. but black folks have less healthy options in their neighborhood. and its a proven fact MOST people naturally shop in their local areas. so it means black folks will end up shopping at spots with more bad foods than good. thats a fact. but keep thinking it has nothing to do with white racism if ya want to. sounding like them #newblacks. lol

"It is not about one group doing something wrong," says Lloyd-Jones, who was not involved in creating the CDC maps. "It is about the environment that we have built that sets people up to fail."

I don't like the tone of these types of surveys ever. They seem to be surreptitiously suggesting that obesity is germane to blackness, when in fact it has nothing to do with it. Kenyans are skinny as hell and they are black too. Get me?

This is more of an issue of of eating habits and enculturation.

C'mon man. Everything isn't racism. Look at where black people in the South had to go to get food. Hell those women were not pushing 400 pounds.

A lot of people that grow up in the inner cities are a short bus ride or drive away from being at a decent grocery store. Our folks are just lazy. Just admit it. It is true.

They have Greens, beans, yams, chicken and stuff like that at grocery stores in the hood. nikkas just ain't cooking that stuff. They eating a bunch of burgers and fries and shyt like that rather than baking some chicken and eating some baked or mashed potatoes. It is just laziness.

Obesity Maps Put Racial Differences On Stark Display

Take a look at the latest obesity data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and you can see that the country's obesity epidemic is far from over.

Even in Colorado, the state with the lowest rate, 21.3 percent of its population is obese. Arkansas tops the list with 35.9 percent.

"It is the largest epidemic of a chronic disease that we've ever seen in human history," says Dr. Donald Lloyd-Jones, chair of the department of preventive medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Click on the CDC's obesity prevalence maps and you'll see something even more startling — the disparity among different ethnic groups. It's not new that the obesity epidemic is hitting African-Americans the hardest, followed by Hispanics, but the maps highlight this worrying trend.

For African-Americans for example, there are 33 states with an obesity rate of at least 35 percent, whereas for white Americans only 1 state reports that rate. Nine states estimate the Hispanic obesity rate at 35 percent or higher.

"It is not about one group doing something wrong," says Lloyd-Jones, who was not involved in creating the CDC maps. "It is about the environment that we have built that sets people up to fail."

Race and ethnicity are often a surrogate for low socioeconomic status, he says.

"Our neighborhoods, workplaces and schools expose people, especially poor people, to less choices of healthy foods," Lloyd-Jones says. There are also fewer places outside to be safe and burn off calories.

This has huge implications for the health of individuals and for health costs in the future, because obesity causes significant downstream health problems like diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

The CDC created the maps using self-reported information from the 2014 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS.)
It's disgusting to call obesity a disease. Fukk rotund people. Real shame what humanity had come to.
