biggest problem is processed sugar.....

it aint just obesity neither..... black folks lead in diabetes too......

all them white flours and shyt that convert into sugar become fat in your body......

thats cause white cane sugar is a chemical, not a food......

anything thats isolated is a drug..... most of the shyt we eating now aint even real food....

how many of yall know cigarettes are packed with sugar, and thats why most smokers cant give em up.....

sugar = hardest addiction to give up....... more than alcohol, crack cocaine, and all them other drugs.....

theres a lot of things black folks can do to improve their diets, biggest one is cut down the sugar....

They are so delicious, and you can eat a lot of them with no weight or fat gain.

You can eat like 15-20 dates in a cup and be done and tired of them. Because dates have a lot of fiber than makes you full. And natural sugars has a satiating effect. Processed crap like snickers cant satisfy you as much.

With snickers tho? You can eat 4 of them but 2 hours after that you are going to be hungry again.

yeah the whole "its so much more expensive, where can I get it blah blah blah" shyt is dumb.

I'm not broke now but when I was in college I lived at aldis. 6 dollar bag of chicken breast, 1 box of rice, 1 bag of veggies. nikka thats 3 meals at least right there if not more. eggs like 2 a carton, get some lunch meat and bread, fruit and snacks if you feeling feisty...25$ at most for damn near a week of food. People just fukking lazy and like to make excuses for their disgusting bodies. Its not hard and its not any more expensive than eating out like twice a week.

This about sums it up

There is zero legit reason for people to be out of shape outside of lack of mental toughness to deal with eating food for what it is; sustenance for your body to maintain good health

damn sure helps :sas2:

Health conciousness is a state of mind. And any specific items not sold at your general grocer can be easily obtained online

yeah IDK why people think you need to shop at byerly (they salad bar tho :ohlawd: ) or trader joes to eat a good diet. I could literally go into walmart right now and get exactly what I wanted to cut or bulk and not feel any certain way about it.

You don't need to go to whole foods or trader joes and spend an absurd amount of money to eat and live healthy. Paying $3 for a hipster cac bell pepper that hasn't been scientifically proven by anyone to be any better than a 33 cent bell people makes no sense to anyone outside of hipsters and people with too much disposable income

Even better are them hispanic grocery stores. shyt is dirt cheap there. Everything from fish, meat, vegetables, seasonings, milk, cheese, etc. i can do a whole week of meal plan shopping there for myself and spend $30 bucks. People think eating healthy = organic and its not. When i first got into health and fitness i use to shop at whole foods. I would buy nothing essential because they were to expensive. I would buy granola, freeze dried fruits, bread, lunch meat, a few snacks, that crap never came out lower than $60-70. I didnt even by meat, rice, vegetables, fruits, etc. it was hurting my pockets too much for a llittle bit of food. Now to get everything including snacks and essentials i go to walmart ($50) or a hispanic store ($30-40). Those hispanic places were all over the hood when i was back in brooklyn- Associated, food bazaar, juniors, western beef is every where, pioneer. All have cheap food. I know people that eat out daily but complain that healthy food is too expensive. So you can spend $25 at applebees for one meal but cant spend $30 for a weeks worth?

Obesity rates were highest among Black (47.8 percent) adults, followed by Latino (42.5 percent) and White (32.6 percent) adults and lowest among Asian American (10.8 perfect) adults.

Asians aren't even close to any other race. Probably not worth addressing considering their low numbers.

The thing with Asian people, is they're physiologically different and a few countries (India and the Philippines off the top of my head) have adopted a lower bmi threshold (28) as being obese because they tend to suffer from related illnesses at lower bodyweights
