"Do For Self"
All those points made by the OP are on point.
Only thing I would add is not to be afraid to start over. I got a degree in accounting and was 3 years into my career when I realized this is not a job I want to do for 40 more years. I got all kinds of looks from my family and friends when I decided to go back to college in an accelerated program, but it was all worth it. Don't compare yourself to anyone else and find something you love. Life's not a competition, it's a journey.
What did you go back to school for breh? Cuz sometimes I sit in these Finance classes like

I feel like Lip on Shameless.
policy when it comes them.
faster than working a desk job.
I wish I could do that but sadly I'm the only male in my fam worth a damn. My ex told me she had an estranged uncle that chucked his fam the deuces and moved to Cali a long time ago. Never contacted them again. lol
ribs is touching

at how many people @ my job are friends with each other. Even with the managers. Going to weekend ski trips 15 deep with people from work . A guy I work with is currently dating our boss's best friend. Amazingly, everyone's cool with it and there hasn't been any backlash unlike other places I've worked in the past. Maybe its the maturity level of the people I work with overall, but I still try not to be too friendly with my co-workers. We're all cool @ work/company parties but I do my own thing after I clock out after my shift. They're cool with it though but I'm the only black person in my dept. so naturally, I prefer not to get too friendly .
